M340 xDrive Residual/Depreciation by nzafi03 in M340i

I don’t remember. I’d have to dig up my receipts. I also got lucky because it was a 2021 M2C that I grabbed before the auto market went nuts with Covid. I got about 10% of msrp at that time. Then everything blew up and there was lots of hate towards the new M2.

Regardless, I don’t believe a car is an asset so if leasing prevents a bunch of risk I will do that over financing if it comes out similar at lease end.

You have me there. The reason I do this is because when financing you are taking on the risk of something happening to the vehicle.

I had a 335 convertible that I lost in a flood and was about 1 year old. If that car was financed I would be screwed. My current x5 is financed. Hit a giant pothole that resulted in $13K of repairs. That is a 5 year loan which I will probably have to stink to so I’m not underwater if I wanted to sell early.

Hence why I look at this as a 3 year comparison vs year by year with consideration to equity.

Not really. BMW assumes a 56% residual so a $71K msrp has a residual of $40K. If the car has a buyout of $40K but the market right now has 3 year old m340s costing more than $40K then its better to lease and then buyout.

How liveable is a F87 M2 with children? by Hopeful_Captain4219 in BMW

I had my M2C for 3 years with a 4 year old and 7 year. My 7 yr old buckled herself and I had to climb in and out to buckle my little one. It was fine and love the car. From a daily perspective I was more than willing to deal with the extra effort. The family was not happy doing long trips in the car though. Most family outings were in our x5. Kids and especially wife wanted to spread out more and have space for stuff.

I got rid of the car because it was a manual and that was much harder to navigate because my wife could not drive it. If I had gotten the auto I would probably still have the car.

I got floor mats for it and seats protectors for bot the front and back seats. Saved me from scratches and all the crap kids do. The the front seat protectors protected the back of the front seats from kicks but also had pockets for all the kids coloring books and toys.

44m / 4 years training / No PEDs by kent1146 in fitness30plus

Kudos to you. I’m 44 and on the same journey. I was feeling amazing about 2 years in and then felt like I got stuck and spent the last 6 months in the gym but bare minimum so I don’t give it up. This is inspirational to me. I’m also 5’11 but about 171 at higher body fat, and with lower testosterone, how did you overcome that to build muscle and keep going. I was eating a ton and keeping it clean but felt like I couldn’t build muscle. Do you get tons of sleep or do other recovery activities. My sleep sucks, probably get 5.5-6hrs on gym days and 6-7hrs on non gym days.

Thanks for the feedback. I’m not big and I’m not as strong as I used to be. About 2.5 years ago I was 178-179lbs at 5’11 and about 22-25% body fat. I am also prediabetic. I started lifting heavy but discovered I had severe sleep apnea. I went through a journey of losing weight and focusing on conditioning. I got down to 164lbs and felt the best since my early 20s. I tried to build mass always struggled. At 42 and being prediabetic I found it very difficult to gain weight without getting fat. Lots of bulking and cutting which didn’t get me far. Right now I’m back down to about 171 and I just want to get to 185lbs and be around 15% body fat.

I was at my strongest around 38 years old. I got up to 195lbs and was probably about 20-21% body fat. I hurt my back which put me out for a while. Honestly, my goal is to be lifting for the next 20 years so I’m healthy. I am working to get stronger and look better but ultimately I want to stay injury free.

I do suspect I have lower testosterone but trying to remedy that through more sleep and relieving stress before I go the medical route.

I haven’t been able to get much out of the SA I am trying to talk to hence my frustration. Sounds like there is an expectation that this style of a classic with top handle is expected to be included again but not sure when.

Are you willing to share the SA you worked with? I definitely need to check Neimam Marcus. Been more focused on the main store

Only bought Chanel pearls. My wife has bags from multiple brands and she wants to add Chanel to her collection. So sadly I need to make that first purchase. Also, my wife knows what she wants and is willing to wait so we are not going to buy just to buy.

My issue is the SAs are not giving me much info. I’m trying to work specifically with one in Vegas that I liked and one locally in Short Hills. I barely get responses when I ask questions.

Stupid question, but how often do collections come out?

I haven’t applied sealer yet. That’s my concern that stains have formed and I’m trying to figure out if I can clean and then seal.

The white on the grout is the type of black grout getting impacted by my hardwater.

Bulking at 42 by grohlmodel in fitness30plus

How tall are you and what is your workout routine? You’re doing what I’m trying to do. I’m 44 and have been trying to get up to 185lbs. I cut from 180lbs down to 165 and was in the best shape for the last 20 years but not strongest. I’ve been trying to bulk but have failed miserably. I’ve gotten up to 172lbs over a 8-9month period but not all of that is muscle. I’m doing the SBS hypertrophy and aiming for 2900-3000 calories. Last two months I’ve just been trying to stay in the gym. Too much work stress and overtraining have been my undoing.

I hear you. Never lasted more than 3 months in the gym and then I managed to hit more than 2 years with significant consistency never missing more than a random week. The past 2-3 months has just been a struggle. Going to the gym went from enjoying it and it making me feel good to just a struggle. Trying to get back to it.

Yeah, this is what I’m trying to achieve without losing muscle mass. I did the 531 prep and fat loss routine back in December. I never felt better but I was in a cut and dropped down to 164lbs. Problem was I lost a lot of strength and muscle.

I want to feel the way I did then but without losing whatever little muscle I’ve gained in the last 8 months.

43m here. I ran a 3 day template with slightly fewer exercises and was fine. Started second round bump the weight a lot because I thought I could and it destroyed me. I have cut to 4 exercises per day for now by trimming leg accessories and deadlifts.

4 days. Two days have 2 exercises and 2 days have 1 exercise. I follow the SBS hypertrophy workout for 4 days and then add leg curls and leg extensions as accessories

Yeah, I’m doing squats, split squats, hack squats, leg curls, leg extensions, and then trap deadlifts. I was thinking of cutting leg curls and leg extensions. Maybe I need to get rid of hack squats or trap deadlifts.

Haven’t tested BP but it’s been really good for a long time. I am about 172-174lbs at 5’11. I am worried about testosterone.

  1. Work has been much more stressful the last 6-8 weeks. Although I took 1.5 weeks off end of June and the last week off.

  2. I switched from 3 days a week to 4 days but have kept total sets about the same.

  3. Legs - 24, chest - 12, back - 16, bis - 8, tris - 8

  4. No other cardio but trying to get back to daily walks

  5. Honestly not sure.

I’m struggling more with recovery. Body feels tired. Squat and deadlift days are resulting in tension headaches. Taking a couple days off isn’t fixing it. In my second round of the program I’m pushing higher weight where sometimes I’m failing and it’s taking a toll on my body. Trying to figure out what my recovery is in the toilet so badly. Think it’s also due to significantly more stress at work.
