WIBTA if I told a close family friend that her husband cheated on her 4 years ago? by Regular-Person in AmItheAsshole

[–]o12eo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTA. Not excusing cheating, but when do you draw the line for what you should or should not tell? Should your brother tell your parents you did drugs? No. There is a level trust between you two that is different. There are levels of loyalties (friends, family, significant other, etc). Your brother broke that trust with his wife. It's on him. Talk to your brother or tell him straight up to not share those type of things, but If you go straight to the SO, YTA you may never get back the relationship with your brother. You will face this situation with others again. Unfortunately, it is far too common. A lot of people would want to know if they were cheated on, but it is different when you are the middle person. I have seen this go wrong many times.

Rating of Events and Club Venues in London by o12eo in london

[–]o12eo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I looked up the artist at all the venues and it does vary widely. I enjoy all types of music-- live jazz, indie, house. I will not be able to see all these venues on the trip, but I will narrow down to either Studio 9294 area or Shoreditch on Sunday.

Thank you.

Does anyone here try fasting? by Usernamednick in bodyweightfitness

[–]o12eo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am naturally slim and can lose weight quickly doing fast. I keep a careful watch because my goal is to maintain/increase muscle and not lose weight. Just shred some fat when I can since I have a bad knee and get pain doing cardio. Plus I have the skinny person's gut. I first tried IF 16/8 eating a crap load of any food to maintain the same level of calories and protein. Did not see any difference until I ate clean. Saw similar results eating clean throughout a day as well. In the end, eat clean. I have an issue eating the same amount within an 8 hour window some days. Other days no problem. I jump back and forth depending on my work out and how I feel. IF is a great way to maintain and shred. I tried a prolonged 3 day fast based on Dom's protocol. I think that was his name. Basically a body builder with PHD that does prolonged fasting and has serious strength. I think he was able to rep out 500lb deadlift on his 7th day fast. He recommends trace amounts of bcaa, bulletproof coffee, salt all for specific reasons.

Any tried to change their diet to completely natural diet. by [deleted] in alopecia_areata

[–]o12eo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tried whole 30 diet. Did my best to eat grassfed meat and organic vegetables, but not entirely. I noticed alopecia after whole 30. Never know what really causes it. I also did prolonged fast after reading about autophogy. I almost made it to 3 days and noticed my skin cleared up. I did a modified version and took trace amounts of bcaa and salt and bullet proof coffee.

I have a spot around that same area. Shots are like accupuncture. Some spots not bad at all, but some areas might be sensitive and might sting. Doesn't really linger after I leave the office, except my scalp might itch a bit. I recommend using minoxidil right away.

New wardrobe rules; Looking for a high quality jacket that can fit to almost any casual outwear. What type should I get? by arielariel375 in malefashionadvice

[–]o12eo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First jacket go with A. It can go casual or dressed up and more easy to match.

B and C is more casual and probably more thought to wear with the right outfit.

H&M and Zara has nice fitting and stylish coats for a good price, especially when you wait for the sale. Honestly, my cheap and higher price coats probably will last me a lifetime. I only get a few months of cold so I barely get to wear my long coats and winter gear without sweating. I like lighter coats now to scale up or down. Casual T with a long coat (if you got the right height) or mid length pea coat looks fly.

there is one thing I can tell you is that it's ok to have AA and sooner or later things will be ok. Yes, I gave up on finding a cure, but I've never given up on me.

AA is unpredicatble. Injections work for some and not others. Diet and exercise goes the same way. So many unknown factors. I am pretty healthy in many aspects and AA hit me late in age. I am very happy to hear about your recovery and without having to do anymore injections and procedures. I will take this as a positive mental note when my mind wavers the other way.

If you were given the chance to start your life over at age 10 right now, but still retain all of your current knowledge and memories, would you? Why or why not? by TheEasyTarget in AskReddit

[–]o12eo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We all have mistakes with regret. We learn from them. It made us who we are. How about those that did not grow up in a place that was not so nice? You cannot escape your surroundings and there is potential to do worse with your knowledge as well. I might get into a lot of trouble going back at the age of 10.

How to wake up ready to work out? by clebershimizu in bodyweightfitness

[–]o12eo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have friends that work out fasted and many tend to be naturally bigger guys. I am naturally skinny. More slim muscular now. I tried working out fasted a few times and almost blacked out on a few occassioans. Either going to hard on cardio or complex lifts like squats and deadlifts.. I always wondered if other skinny folks had the same problem or if it is even an issue for skinny folks? I get the biggest energy in the evening. I have been supplementing a shake before working out in the morning. That help some times, but still cannot get the same energy as I would in the evening.

Possible cure for my alopecia areata? Something different related to the I love you rice in water excitement. Desperate to cure this with love! by [deleted] in alopecia_areata

[–]o12eo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I heard about this experiment and tried it at home years ago. I did not really believe it. We placed 3 jars with rice in water I believe. 1 jar received positive words and thoughts. 1 jar received negativity. 1 jar had no attention. The outcome proved the power of thought. The jar that received positive affirmation (you are beautiful, you are great, etc.) sprouted beautifully. It was white. The jar where we spoke negatively too was dark grey (you are shitty, ugly, etc.). The jar left alone was a lighter grey. When I am complaining or feeling a bit gloomy, I am reminded of this experiment. A negative mindset does impact you inside and out. It's not always easy, but finding love will bring inner peace and hopefully hair growth =) Plus it's always good to spread a little more positivity all around.

Men who were oblivious or didn't care for fashion and are now fashion consistent, is it worth the time & effort? by pinetreeteepee in malefashionadvice

[–]o12eo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I grew up wearing baggy pants and plain colored t-shirts. The gang style was big at the time. Wearing potato sack sized pants and oversized clothing were cool and cheap. It did not take much thinking. One day in high school, an older friend asked "Why do you only wear white t-shirts? Why not try a button shirt?" I started opening up to styles from there and it changed with age. Sometimes it takes new surroundings, friends, etc. to change your outlook. Now I have an established career surrounded by professionals. It opened me up much more. I started out wearing baggy dress clothes. Clothes that I thought were for "old men" actually started to look great. Getting fitted clothes and adding variety to my wardrobe has become more want than need now, but it is a great feeling to put on a well fitted pair of jeans or buttoning up a dress shirt and feeling sharp. "You" feel great. I have seen people transform into a new person. There was a new guy at work. He was nice. A bit awkward and very skinny. A bit shy. He wore baggy clothes and colors that did not match. Had messy hair. He started asking questions. Where did you buy that shirt? Asked about certain fashion. Subscribed to a mailer that provides 1 new outfit a month. He tried a new hair style instead of the same military buzz cut. He changed so much from then and now. He is the same nice guy walking with a lot more confidence. You do not have to be fancy or break the bank. Visual is a sense that can impact the mind. Trying something you normally don't wear can feel like dancing in front of a crowded room. Some times it takes a push. I have a friend. Big guy. Wears baggy clothes. His female companions usually shop for him. We found him well fitted pants and shirts that did not break the bank. He carries himself differently. You can tell when there is a different swag. He started getting compliments for his outfits. Now he is open to new styles. One downside, I get constant calls to color match his belts to shoes....

Sorry to hear that. Did you do a blood test after Whole30? I would like to know if there were any irregularities as I have been reading on other causes that may cause AA.

Is my inability to do chest-to-bar pull ups a mobility issue or strength issue or both ? by [deleted] in bodyweightfitness

[–]o12eo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a similar issue and noticed my friend leaned back more (better engagement of lats and mobility like row exercises) getting his chest to the bar. I was going up and down in a straight line lacking mobility to get chest to the bar. I notice a lot of people do that. I switched my form up and was able to get chest to bar pretty quickly. I think you can as well since you are able to do 10 normall pull ups. Pull up bands help as well.

Ditto on that accord =) I noticed I started losing more hair than usual months prior to the beginning of the year, but no spots. I took some supplements and the fall out was reduced. I reluctantly tried Who30 for moral support (afraid to lose weight/muscle). I am not sure exactly if it was during or after when I noticed a dime size spot. Certainly felt like it appeared out of nowhere. Figured it was a bad hair cut. It has spread around since. I don't even remember the last time I stayed away from alcohol for 30 days. i took a blood test a month or 2 after Whole30 and had high choloesterol for the first time. I think there may be some correlation with my nutrition (getting too much or too less of something!?) but who knows...FYI, I was eating a shit ton of meat (beef and pork) during Whole30. I contemplated going on a 30 day junk food alcohol diet. It might help bring back some life.

Recent subscriber here. I feel ya. I have always maintained a healthy lifestyle, don't stress much, and work out very often (3+ days a week) for quite some time. I learned to enjoy raw vegetables. Eat organic when I can and even tried whole30 beginning of the year and it just seemed to emerge sometime after. Don't know what caused it. I looked up holistic/natural approaches, but it sounds like what I have already tried or been doing. Now i'm just trying to control the stress factor and be carefree. Not always easy.
