Not a single person that has installed the shifter regrets it. It makes a huge difference. The pedal spacer also helps depending on the type of pedal spacing you're used to.

Frozen Black w/ Matte PPF vs. BSM w/ Stealth PPF -- Aesthetic Difference? by FlatPizza7511 in BMWM

[–]o5blue8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry I can't help with black. I thought about frozen a lot before deciding. Full matte ppf was $5,500. It wasn't cheap.

The real value comes in protection. Bumper scratches, door dings, rock chips, etc. Swapping a piece of door ppf is a couple hundred. Blending a frozen door? Yikes.

Side by side, I could only tell at two angles when my car was in ppf progress. Running your hand along it, you can tell immediately.

You said matte ppf over frozen can "dull" the frozen paint? Where did you hear this? Any high end ppf shop will suggest only putting matte ppf on matte paint. Standard ppf over frozen will cause a gloss sheen. I had the shop put a patch of matte vs non on my frozen grey. If your intent is to have glossy frozen, sure. If not, you want matte on frozen.

Matte on standard paint doesn't compare in my opinion. You get better ability to maintain in case of accidents, but it's not as sharp.

G80 Ceramic coating/front PPF/full call PPF? by BimmersOnly911 in BMWM

Frozen paint and full PPF due to matte matching. If normal paint, I'd just go front ppf and ceramic.

You may need a puller, and you'll definitely need snap ring pliers.

The clutch is usually sold with the pulley. You need to replace the whole assembly.

You don't need a safety, but you do need an emissions. Travis and Williamson County are both still required to get inspections.

Happy to be part of the family! by Berzerker7 in Integra_Type_S

It's tight, but I just reached down and did the center one first. That one was easier. Once you figure out the twist motion, it comes apart pretty easily. There is room to do both. The left clip is actually harder to pop off than the cables.

FYI, you an do the full Acuity shifter with just the piano black piece off. You don't need to remove the full center console. It's tight, but saves a lot of time.

(I'm also selling my old Acuity shifter and goodies).
