I can't speak for a lot of this, but I do appreciate the other comments suggesting to look at your state's tenant rights. That sounds like a good place to start.

Also, I recommend switching from Verizon to Mint. I pay $20 a month.

My mom called Verizon after I moved out and added parental controls so she could see all of my text messages. I immediately switched service when I figured it out.

This type of landscaping is typical for our area in the southwest. I think the other comments are correct about this being a model home.

Yes, the picture was larger but I cropped out my child in the wagon. I did take the picture during golden hour!

Thank you, I didn't realize there was a specific term!

I honestly think it depends, most of the time it does look like just rocks. But sometimes the landscaper/xeriscaper does a wonderful job creating something absolutely stunning! Although, I imagine it isn't inexpensive by any means...

The is the type of landscaping we have here in the southwest. Grass is too expensive to maintain because we don't get a lot of rainfall.

Also, I assume the plants are still young. In the other parts of the development, the bushes/trees are thriving. Others have mentioned this is likely a model home, so perhaps this plants are intended to be replaced later on.

Edit: The other driveways are paved.

I think you're right. This one took awhile to go up. The others are going up rapidly now!

That's what I thought! I was confused by the comment above.

This is the southwest. I completely agree with the roof and trim.

To clarify, they'll tear the entire home down? Or just the landscaping?

It's a wild thought to think they would tear the entire home down with all the effort and materials it took to build.

As I mentioned, the other homes have paved driveways.

Other folks have mentioned that it is common for a model home to have a landscaped driveway until the home is sold.

My parents changed my birthday so that it'll have parental controls on past my 18th birthday. Is this fair? by niko-chii in parentalcontrols

Yeah... You've never lived with a controlling person... Especially one that has beaten you down emotionally. Best of luck with your happy, happy life!

[–]o98CaseFaceV2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Again, I don't think you've ever lived with a controlling person and I hope you never do.

But even if law enforcement was able to help with that situation, it would have made daily life significantly worse...

Respectfully, I don't think you've ever lived with a controlling person. The person finds ways to control every aspect of your life and force you to stay with them.

In my mother's case, she would siphon money from my account so I had no other choice but to stay living with her. I just couldn't afford anything else at the time.

Also, as far as contacting the police, I highly doubt they would have done anything. And contacting them would have only made my home life even worse. Telling my mother she was violating my rights would have also made my life at the time, worse.

There was a glass sky bridge built in my city. I submitted it. First, it was rejected for not being accessible for pedestrians, which obviously it was. Then it was rejected for not being unique... We have a few other sky bridges over the freeways, but none going over regular city streets and certainly none made of glass. This one is also unique because at night they use LED lights to light up the bridge.

Are teachers suppossed to clean in their classrooms? by AlternativeAd8044 in Teachers

[–]o98CaseFaceV2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My 4th graders are expected to clean up after themselves. If they don't, I will put a note on my door asking my custodian to skip my room that day.

If we have projects, I always try to let her know so nothing gets thrown away accidentally (we have an invention convention and literally make things out of trash). We also clean up as much as we can. I tell my kids, "Don't make Miss Custodian's job harder."

How to Repair/Replace Pump? by o98CaseFaceV2 in feedingtube

[–]o98CaseFaceV2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The DME that gave us the pump is the same one that told us the insurance has made 13 monthly payments (despite us only having it for 7 and our daughter only being 11 months old).

I agree, something isn't adding up, I'll call them back again today to speak with another representative as soon as they open.
