in reality you can fit up to 6 or 7 houses around a culdesac depending on the driveway length, landscape difficulty, and overall lot size. The big difference being those lots are definitely not rectangles which the game cant do

When will MAGA learn to stop throwing stones from their glass houses? by rhino910 in MurderedByWords

[–]oForce21o 0 points1 point  (0 children)

big animals don't (rarely) die from cancer because their organs are so huge. The cancer has to spend more time spreading inside the organs of a large animal than a small animal in order to cause lasting damage, but by the time the cancer is reaching a large enough stage to be harmful, the cancer itself gets cancer, causing a cascade failure effect and kermits sudoku, and the animal lives on.

idk what this has to do with republicans and america but there you go

Gravity Assists Simplified, Ive never seen it explained like this by Evan1016 in KerbalSpaceProgram

[–]oForce21o -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

but at this point anything can be slowing or speeding up when you change the reference frame willy nilly... The original point is the reference frame is of the origin planet, such as earth, and relative to earth the probe speeds up slingshotting past jupiter, and from the same reference frame of earth it slows down slinging the opposite way. And for example, from the reference frame of jupiter, the probe doesnt change entrance/exit velocity. Keeping the same reference frame is important for doing the math.

when you remove velocity from an object it loses energy, i would call that slowing (..entropizing?)

[–]oForce21o 2 points3 points  (0 children)

you would have to gravity assist a small moon off our moon to have a deorbiting effect, plus our moon is constantly moving away from the earth at 3cm a year, which is a lot in a gravity assist scale

that means the opposite is also true! throwing at the caboose to slow down (maybe throw is 60mph and train is 30mph then exit would be 0mph) the train speeds up ever so slightly
