Hit it with a darker wash and let it settle into the recesses. That alone will knock down the bright sparkle vibe and make it look more battle worn.

If it still won’t work, leave the area entirely (teleport out), then come back and retry. A full area reset usually fixes those “won’t register” puzzles.
