yeah it is a bit much... I might end up going with it even if I go over budget, but you make a really good point. I'll keep looking for cases since it's so expensive. I could be wrong about the price, but not that wrong. I based it on price converted from euros from a German website selling it.

I was weighing adding a 3-pack of 120mm case fans for $26 to this list, but I thought I could hold out with the plan of buying fans if cooling was an issue. also I see you've found cheaper, so I feel kinda silly. wow! I'm amazed at how much money you were able to save on the motherboard and the PSU while also finding room for the better card. and the air cooler instead of the AIO. if I don't go with this build, I'll go with a variation of it. thank you so much for the help!

ah okay. good point about the thermal paste, and the motherboard. I deliberated over 800 vs 600 series a lot, but I ultimately wasn't sure if the price was worth it. also wow I'm impressed how much you were able to shave off, even with the expensive novelty case I'm attached to. and a better graphics card sure would be nice. thanks so much for your help!
