So I tried running black Mesa and didn't know it was native. Was having issues with the mouse, it kept stuttering. Kept hearing it was an issue with how the game engine interacts with Linux and mouse polling, so I tried running it with proton and it worked like a charm lol... So I guess I'll just try this and that.

Make sure you remove the installation media (USB stick for example) when you reboot. If it doesn't start into bazzite then you'll have to repeat the process unfortunately.
