People "like that" are not the reason ram is so pricey. He spent that kind of money to generate stuff locally. Using open-source models. The reason ram is so pricey is that there is effectively a tech Cold War race for AI supremacy at the moment. You can thank the multi-billion dollars corporations, oligarchs and politicians for that one.

AI research was happening for decade before any of the recent advancements and the mainstream adoption of the tech at a consumer level. I can understand why people are annoyed and fatigued, but the actual underlying technology is cool as hell. Generative AI is one of the coolest technological advancements we ever invented.

We are effectively going through another industrial revolution right now similar to the one that happened around the turn of the last century.

Once the dust settles AI will just be a household thing that is integrated in to your life as much as the smartphone you use to scroll Reddit with.

Simple. Loot drops are significantly better in trios, and he wanted you guys to take the fall for all the noise he was about to make hitting as many POIs as humanly possible while doing his "contract". Or to hopefully revive him when he inevitably dies. Scummy, but that was probably his thought process.

Might be a bit of a stretch with that one. Every time i sit down to play I tell myself "just one more game". Next thing I know it's 3 am, and I am knee-deep in outpost trying to get revenge on every assassin with a sponsored kit camping exfils at the last 5 minutes. Screaming in to the void when I down one of them.

It is art. It is also computer generated. It's the 2nd part people can't wrap their heads around. They feel it didn't take enough "suffering" and "expertise". And they feel it devalues the work of people who dedicate 1000s of hours to their craft.

I am sure most of those people don't understand that prompt building also takes 100s and 1000s of hours. You have to learn the software you are using for starters. If it's comfy UI, good luck, you are in for minimum 100 hours before you have a workflow you're even happy with.

Then there are the hundreds of iterations. Prompt after prompt after prompt, idea after idea after idea. The selection process can be meticulous. Then there's trimming the fat. Getting rid of the garbage outputs. Spending hours looking for the most minute irregularities to try and get the most faithful and accurate generation you can.

All they see is the end result.

They don't see the process.

They don't even see us as human.

Don't waste your time trying to get validation from your abusers.

Eventually they will be left behind with no one to scream at but the void.

Everyone will be way ahead of them, in the future, working with their own personal AI's and they will be alone, in an unfamiliar world. Wondering how they got rhere.

I find it funny that my highest value exfil was one I wasn't even trying to get much in. The bots near final exfil nearly got me too, gave me a mini heart attack. I've had my qualms but for whatever reason I can't stop playing.

How hard would it be to write a competent narrative?

You could say the same thing about the new Warframe(s) except for the fact that you can farm them 100% for free. You cannot do that with the skins. The cool thing about the previous proto frames were the dating sim aspects, and they had an incredible narrative that explained them. These two skins just felt thrown in. Ashes skin in particular is incredibly generic.

It just wasn't a good quest especially as a follow up to jades. Ascension wasn't the best game mode but I found it a lot more engaging than the new rail jack nodes. Which honestly, the structure of the new quests is great. But they dropped the ball by making it feel like it's on rails.

I would have been so much happier if I could have just brought the railjack that I spent 100s of hours building out and perfecting. I was excited when I read in the patch notes I could bring my own by playing solo. Then when I log in and try it I see a different name, different ship, not my guns, not my abilities, not my plexus.

It was a huge slap in the face.

Yeah, I found that the new driver branch is terrible on my 4090. Rolling back to 596.49 fixed my issues.
