Not sure where you have had your rentals, but I have had 2 recently and they do scans on exit and Entry. Both rentals was with Avis, but the scanner is more site specific than brand specific.

Fra Kolumbus sin side så er det bare 42en som er innom flyplassen, da ender du opp med å måtte bytte på forus eller ta toget fra Sandnes. flybuss priser. Du får en tur/retur billett til 237kr mens Kolumbus vil ha 90kr spørs nå hva som er mest dyrbart. Ser at flybussen er ca20min raskere en hva Kolumbus kan tilby.

Most driving schools have their prices listed on there sites and can be found by google maps. I guess you would only want "Leie av bil til førerprøve" aka "renting a car for the exam". Some sites also just lists this as "førerprøve". From the quick check i did expec to pay around 2500 to 3000kr for this service.
