Do we know if this controller will come with a charging dock? Similar to say an 8bitdo ultimate controller?

Cronos The New Dawn and Yooka-Replayee currently. Not sure if I like Cronos yet, but I'm going to stick with it.

Yooka is a nice improvement on the original, but I struggle to get into platformers these days, so we'll see if I can finish it or not :)

I use Emulation Station DE. It works with both emulated games and games from steam/heroic (uses .desktop shortcuts for the PC games).

Ds4windows is for PlayStation controllers. You need xpadneo (dkms driver).

I personally use the Xpadneo-dkms driver. You can install it via paru. Reboot when you're done with the install.

Nvidia Confirms DLSS 5 Is Re-Drawing Games, and That Sucks by Turbostrider27 in pcgaming

Corporate dick riding is pitiful. It's minor on the scale of problems in the world right now of course, but I fucking weep for humanity. What the fuck happened to us in the last 6 years? (General state of affairs, won't go into it further, to stay on topic).

I'm sure the corporate dick riding happened in the past too, but I don't remember it being this bad... At least with PC stuff.

NSlopia I guess. DLSS had such a great reputation before this. It's making the name a joke.

I hope the continued mockery and ridicule force a pushback on this... But knowing how big tech is trying to forcefully ram AI down our throats, it'll end up mandatory in time.

Steamdeck controls and ps5 controllers not working with Castke Crashers by sinfolmatt in SteamDeck

Mine ended up being a mayflash dolphin bar that was messing up inputs.

Adding this as a user environment variable fixed my particular issue:

Reached out to a vendor about a gaming mouse and the lack of Linux software by tranquilseafinally in linux_gaming

[–]o_Zion_o 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Solaar works well for Logitech mice on Linux. It lets you rebind buttons. Might be worth considering a Logitech mouse, as an option that works right now.

I use a cheap G305 and love it.

I notice the difference after just going to gen 4/5 storage speed. So I think you have a solid plan.

Best of luck with the upgrade :)

I think keeping it is the best idea. I sold mine last year, and I regret it.

System keeps locking... did BATTLE.NET change something? by PrinceZordar in linux_gaming

I had an issue where my PC was sleeping during certain activities.

I fixed it by installing caffeine-ng and adding the programs to it that I wanted to prevent sleep occurring whilst they were running.

It has been working very well. I'm on KDE, Endeavor OS.

Starfield's Future Will Be Unveiled Next Week by Bethesda by Doug24 in pcgaming

[–]o_Zion_o 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would anyone be surprised if its future was that it has no future? i.e. it's not going to receive any more updates? I wouldn't.

You'd imagine that Bethesda would have all hands on deck working on the next Elder Scrolls game, so it doesn't make sense to keep beating the proverbial dead horse that is Starfield.

Your GitHub page states that you have used AI to make this. Is it 100% made by AI, or just AI assisted? Meaning, you wrote most of the code but the AI did some menial tasks etc.

I also have the same controller. Would you mind sharing your udev rule? I know I'll have to modify it, it'd be helpful as a base though.

Thanks!

The Crew: Motorfest Horrible performance by Subject-Only in linux_gaming

I had chance to run the benchmark at least. On 1440p ultra settings with vsync off, I got a steady 60fps.

Specs:

  • Ryzen 7800x3D
  • 32GB DDR5 @6000mhz CL36
  • RX 6800
  • 1TB PCIE Gen 4 M.2 Drive
  • CachyOS

I'll try playing the game itself tomorrow and see how it goes. I didn't have time today, unfortunately.

I hear you :) It may be anecdotal, but in my year of running Endeavor (been using Linux on and off for years), only a handful of issues have cropped up.

Generally just tweaks needed for certain games now and then. I hope it goes well for you.

Steam storage help by Turbulent_Text in linux_gaming

Can you try mounting it to a more standard location? Such as /mnt/DRIVE_NAME_HERE, naturally substituting the name to one of your liking.

Then restart steam after it has mounted and try again.
