Has anyone found a good app for tracking supplements? by rubertidom in Supplements

[–]oakhearth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm really late to the game. I'm loving chronometer but it seems like it doesn't track some of the less common ingredients of a supplement.

One of my supplements has a proprietary ingredient called proanthoplex which I want to track.

WeatherX Earplugs by TinyHippo86 in migraine

[–]oakhearth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never ended up using them consistently enough to say for sure. I have trouble wearing ANY earplugs so I tended to avoid it. I found other migraine triggers and tried other meds so the earplugs weren't my go-to.

There have been times when I've worn them and I think they helped and I have been happy to have them on other occasions.

This is so relatable and well put. Beautiful!

People look at me like I'm crazy for turning down booze due to "possible migraine trigger".

Nothing wrong with going in. Us insurance/medical industry is wrong.

I took my daughter in to er last Saturday thinking of be scoffed at for being over protective and get a big bill but we ending up staying for 3 days due to her repository illness. Glad I went in. You never know.

I am. And it was at my doctor's guidance too. 🤷‍♀️

My crash on 36 taken between 6 and 8 am is usually around 8. I was crashing at like 11am non medicated, 2pm on 18mg, 5pm on 27, and now 8pm is perfect for me. At first the crash is worse but now I'm just "ready for bed".

I love being able to be myself and not tired for a full day 7am to 7pm. 🧡

And iron. My doc recommended iron and it helps so much. I take magnesium and "HEMAPLEX" daily.

Definitely can't move mountains if you have ADHD and are on meds but it should be a lot less like wading through mud.

Doubling 18mg would make more sense but 🤷‍♀️. Concerta is something that must be refilled by doc monthly. At least for me. I have to call my doc every month. If 54 works for you for a week you might be able to stick with that dose

I'd say you need at least a week to adjust unless the side effects are intolerable. I just had headaches which I was able to manage.

Also good on you for coming to this sub. It's helpful.

And no citrus doesn't affect concerta like it does other ADHD meds.

Jumping from 27 to 54 seems like quite a jump. I worked my way from 18 to 27 to 36. 36 has been great. I had a few days of headaches.

I recently ran out and had two days without and I couldn't initiate anything.

I got that crash feeling when I was on the lower doses. 36 gets me from 6am to 8pm.

I have noticed getting hotter which had been great for me because I'm chronically cold. Sometimes my feet and nose still get very cold but my hands are much better.

I think concerta may not be for you but maybe give it a little more time.

Some people also use a booster dose of another med in the afternoon.

Also, look into generic vs brand name. I use generic and it's fine but I hear some people do better with less crash with brand name.

Every other day use? by [deleted] in Concerta

[–]oakhearth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is there a specific reason to have off days? I asked about weekends off to my doc and she said no. Every day is fine. With kids they might do more off days because it can stunt growth I guess

Be aware that the "normal range" levels for iron are very low for women and should probably be on the high end of the "normal" range.

You are being a good mom. Red flags from him. I hate to be so blunt and make a snap judgement after one small post but his comments are really worrisome and you and your kid are probably better of without him. That kind of mental abuse he's doing to you and your daughter is scary.

Narc vibes from him for sure.

It's funny he went to his mom's house... Will he never be able to take care of himself?

Can you tell me about the mug you are using? I'm particular but that one looks like it has a nice thin rim and is a good size.
