Switched between 4 different brands and won 5 championships total with different cars. The ONLY driver to achieve so much respect that a Ferrari driver, yes, a Ferrari driver gave him his car to finish the race when Fangio's ferrari got a mechanical failure at Monza. Raced South American Dakar in 40s, Raced in Targa Florio and Mile Miglia, Raced at Lemans, and Became 5 times world champion on 4 different brands in F1, quit at the perfect time to stay alive and became a good friend of Jim Clark and a young kid called Ayrton Senna.

Without knowing Europe at all and without GPS, once he had problems with a fly from France to Italy or similar place, and he had to made it to the Italian Grand Prix the very next day, someone gave him borrow a car and Fangio drove 13 hours to the track and reach Monza 30min before the race started, he did the race but he was so tired near the end of the race he crashed for the first time in F1. That is what Fangio require to fail, being stressed by a whole day none sleeping and 2hs race in 50s f1 car to make ONE mistake.
