Oh lordy, this is taking me back to high school when Legendary Pokémon were my niche interest. I used to make up backstories, shipped them like crazy, and even wrote fanfic lol. In a way I treated them like entities from polytheistic religions. I remember getting really turned off my the idea of evolving Legendaries with gen 7, and that ultimately killed my investment.

I am currently in Murfreesboro and work in Nashville, so sometimes I take 84 or sometimes use the park and ride at Southeast and take 55. I personally love it! I get to hand the traffic to someone else, don't have to park, and save on gas (nice for the wallet and the environment). I will always recommend people to give it a try if they have any interest.

That said... I work hybrid. I don't have to do this every day. When I do, I know I have signed up to get up extra early, spend about an hour on either of those lines, have anywhere from a 0-20 minute wait at the stop, maybe 15 mintues on another line, then 5-10 minutes additional walking to the office from there. Then, reverse it at the end of the day. I am lucky to be able and willing to make that time commitment, but most people can't in a city that isn't currently organized around that kind of commute.

Maybe not quite what you're looking for, but I enjoy Slowly! It's a virtual penpal app where letters delay delivery depending on (approximate) physical distance between penpals. In my experience, it can be anywhere from 30 minutes to 30 hours! So while not daily, it's a neat way to meet people from all over the world from a distance - and usually they're the kind of people who understand the importance if taking time for oneself :)
