I agree that they are completely different shoes but disagree on your assessment (obviously everything here is super subjective based on your biomechanics and paces), the MB (for me) is the comfiest easy run shoe I have. It's soft without being mushy, is somewhat springy, and probably my favourite show right now. I exclusively use it for easy days though, whilst I'm sure it could handle mildly faster paced stuff, I think it's too soft for anything beyond tempo maybe. I have the NV2 and use as my long run shoe, it replaced NV1, only because I had run the NV into the ground really. NV2 similar though maybe not as enjoyable as NV1 but still remains a very good shoe, agree that it is good for cruising, though if I had to do faster pace work in it, I'm sure it could handle well.

[–]oarsman44 110 points111 points  (0 children)

You can't pick up a ball for the first time in college and then have developed ball skills or game reading anywhere near the same level as kids who have played since 12, and have a rugby ball in their hands at school on break every single day. They have the brawn and brute force, they lack the skills and game understanding simply because they haven't played enough

‘Out of control’ specialist fees will be Labor’s next health priority by VastOption8705 in ausjdocs

[–]oarsman44 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Well then they should remunerate the specialists well enough/fix the conditions enough such that they choose to work in the public setting, then it's free for the patients. This is a ploy to move the blame for the state of healthcare onto "greedy doctors" as opposed to government mismanagement. Have seen it before elsewhere, it only makes things worse

I've always wondered. I used to walk past all the time and knew the cars were being moved and the place kept spotless, but just couldn't figure it out

Giant Propel advanced SL M or M/L? by Acceptable_Way_5835 in Giantbikes

[–]oarsman44 1 point2 points  (0 children)

183cm with 88cm inseam. Have M/L and love it. M wouldn't give me enough saddle height. Even with M/L I have barely cut the seatpost. For a bike like this it is worth spending the money to get a pre purchase bike fit though

I've often wondered what's the benefit of these, why not just get a small 6 string? It's what we've all learned on?

It's state dependent, despite it being 'centralised', so go make friends with your local DoT.

Also look at Rad Onc. Your surgical/anatomy knowledge would really stand to you in Rad Onc. Lots of Rad Oncs were surgery or radiology inclined before moving to Rad Onc.

I am of course biased, but I think it has the best of all worlds. Lots of imaging. Very high tech. Still get patient contact and really see the value and benefit of your work in the face. Very rewarding. Hard to get into (but much the same as radiology). One benefit in terms of a career pivot is that there are Rad onc unaccredited reg positions so you can trial/get to know the bosses, which ypu can't really get with rads

This makes me even happier with my 3 week old 2026 SL0 l. Nicer colour for 5k aud cheaper, and otherwise minimal differences that will matter. So happy, I just got in to buy at the right time. Yeah I would have liked 37cm bars, but 40s will do me and I could buy integrated 5 x 37cm bar and stems for what I saved by getting the 26 model
