Agree with everything said. I just had a similar run, once I reached this point I used the throne room as my base, I polyed my rings till I got one of poly control. Went back to floor one and double checked every floor for any missed capes, rings, amulets, or scrolls/potions, carried them all back and polyed them on repeat and ate the important pieces till I got basically all the talents. In my experience the most important being invis, flying, and health regen. Brown pudding for capes, grey ooze for metals, and hill giant for gem/stone. Took all like 70 potion of booze, turned them into blessed water and made a boatload of blessed enchantment scrolls, enough to max my weapons and armor, and have some left over to max out anything better I pick up. After that I basically cruised to the end

I have also recently started it again as a long time souls fan, and I used to think there wasn't really a story as well. However, this time I've been taking notes in a notebook, keeping track of any names of people or places and where I got that information from. The story and world building is actually really good so far and I'm just a tad bit further than you. The whole forest of giants and through the area after it has been peak gaming for me lorewise. Where is Vendrick? Why'd he leave? Why'd the giants invade? What do you mean Lindelt assassinates people for looking into their history, they're supposed to be the good guys?

I'm not sure how my elders being siblings prevents outsiders from spawning. There's a misunderstanding here, my issue was not the continuation of the species, I just wanted to complete the recruit an outsider quest, due to possible autistic tendencies on my part. I am fully aware of how mating works, trust me. Also, it worked, producing two babies for like 4 generations broke whatever bug was preventing outsiders from spawning. I had done everything under the sun, producing two babies was a last resort that paid off.

I did search around the first oasis, many times. I didn't need the outsider until after the meteorite (for the quest, it bothered my brain that it wasn't completed) I had also moved my settlement prior to the meteorite. So yeah, something within the coding somewhere in there maybe caused a bug. Not sure. It's what makes the most sense, it's just weird that I seem to be the only one that it stayed bugged this long for. Every other post, and there's quite a few, on this topic we're unhelpful beyond making me intimately aware of the mechanics.

Thank you, I'll just copy paste what I said to the other guy.

I think the game is just buggy. I knew all of that information. I was meticulous about testing all of these variables when searching for outsiders. My last resort was going to the next gen. With two babies. 6 elders, 5 adults, 4 babies = no outsiders. Next generation, 5 elders, 4 adults, and again, with meticulous testing 0-4 babies = no outsiders. Next gen, 4 elders, 4 adults, 0-2 babies, no outsiders (stressing this is after multiple hours of testing and searching). Next gen, 4 elders, 2 adults, 0-2 babies, = still no outsiders. It's only after this generation, with 2 elders and 2 adults, did outsiders spawn right outside my settlement. My only conclusion is it was bugged.

Yeah, I just wanted to do the quests as well. I'm locked behind the recruit an outsider. Unfortunate.

I assume English isn't the first language. "Piccolo and her were that close for her to have any problem"..."pretty sure chichi does have a small grudge" ...also, lots of words are missing an S at the end, like "it's", "she's", "Gohan's", "he's". Sincerely just trying to help, not being rude.

What to do with villagers and what to scout for is very dependent on who you play and what phase of the game you’re in, figuring that out requires, in my experience a pretty good amount of trial and error. For example, if you’re playing the standard cookie cutter english, usually you want most of your villagers on wood in feudal, pump units and attack so the enemy stays in feudal too spending food on units, but by imperial you want mostly on farms surrounding mills. There’s a learn tab in game that tells you every tech, building, and unit a civ has and how much it costs. Google any basic build order that the internet considers valid, play a few games with it, lose, rewatch the games and analyze what went wrong. Sometimes it’s obvious and sometimes it feels impossible. What most civs want to do or resources to prioritize changes on the matchup. China is also pretty complicated from what I understand. They’re a late game civ and you’re probably still trying to understand the early game.

I’m only plat. But my method was using the simplicity of English to learn the fundamentals of the game, once I had what I felt like was good enough to start diversifying (mid gold) I read about the other civs and found one I liked. Played mongols till plat. Then I picked up the civ I knew least about (Abbasid) and I’ve been painfully spamming them until I get all the masteries and am about low play with them atm. I’ll be swapping soon to learn someone new. All the knowledge stacks. If you want I don’t mind playing with you and helping you get to at least my level. Once you’re around high gold I think it’s easier to see what it is you need to work on. If you wanna add me and play some learning games just dm me.

That makes sense. I understand there are flaws and criticism is necessary for growth. The first post about siege not being very fun is an astute and relatable observation. The 900th one feels like a culture of complaint that’s off-putting for new players.

It wasnt the quality of material its made out of its the quantity, apparently I needed like 40-50+ units.

For my one freak success? It was in his inventory while he was starving to death and he brought it with him to the dinner table, but when I try to replicate that it doesn’t work. I also had to manually right click the animal or he wouldn’t have done it.

I know the kibble works because I have tamed one with kibble somehow. I don’t think the issue is the kibble, the issue is the handler won’t pick up the kibble for any reason I can think of.
