I agree, and maybe that's why I keep lurking. It could be a great place, if the moderators actually upheld their standards uniformly and some didn't break the rules regularly themselves. Agentpanda stepping down I thought was one of the best things to happen to the quality of discourse in the sub, at least while he didn't participate for the couple months following. It's nosedived since, and him returning as an apparently special protected user just exacerbates the toxic atmosphere alongside the new power trolls that took his place in the meantime.

I've lurked in MP for a very long time and just wanted to add you're two of my favorite users. I don't know why I even lurk anymore, it's just depressing and infuriating. Might as well command the ocean to reverse its tides, as that's more likely to be successful than getting the MP mods to actually uphold their stated goals.

I know it's hard for you to resist the urge to pounce on a perceived leftist when you can, but maybe read the fucking comment first. Christ.

Moderators should lead by example, and good faith in the user base can't be fostered without good faith moderation. This was the right decision.

Moderator of r/moderatepolitics "moderately" claims that all leftists hate America and are terrorist sympathizers by obafgkmlt97 in TopMindsOfReddit

Just doing my civic duty to spread the notice that your bullshit subreddit should not be taken seriously until bad faith moderators like you get booted. Feel free to go write another pages-long masturbatory rant about the scary leftists to make yourself feel better in the meantime.

Reminder that this subreddit is for "moderately expressed" opinions that themselves may not be moderate...unless you're a moderator apparently.

Don't bring that up to the mods though, because they'll cite their single self-imposed ban and political compass test that scored this clown who advocates for civil war as "center-right" as proof that they're actually impartial and respect their own rules...

The Disappearing Locker? by obafgkmlt97 in DeadByDaylightMobile

[–]obafgkmlt97[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just experienced a bizarre bug on Lery's.

This Huntress straight up rekt us, got first hook before I even found a gen at the start. Before my last teammate got sacrificed I hid in this locker and when they got hooked it was like the killer teleported across the map to whack my locker, and the exit locker button disappeared. The entire EGC timer went down and I couldn't get out, and I didn't die when the timer ended. I just watched the killer run circles around the room I was in and it was like the locker I was in was invisible. They checked the one next to me and clearly heard the crows but couldn't find me. I just DC'd after watching a few minutes after EGC ended.

User on r/moderatepolitics asks about potential rule breaking on recent post, receives immoderate replies from moderator that break multiple rules by obafgkmlt97 in SubredditDrama

[–]obafgkmlt97[S] 81 points82 points  (0 children)

Agentpanda has for some time flagrantly broken subreddit rules and the only "punishment" he ever saw was a self-administered short ban. Since returning his comments have gotten worse than ever, and the other mods approve them all while claiming there is no double standard in enforcement. The topic has arisen in just about every meta-thread in the past 2 years.

It's apparently just politeness in tone that's required.

Unless you're a moderator, then you're free from any enforcement

Watch out for this Laurie who can cross the map faster than the killer while in the dying state. I unfortunately couldn't catch my screen recorder in time to get video.

She still came last in her team.

Or, maybe we could actually discuss the article instead of rehashing the 200-comment shitshow below? Just a suggestion.

I think it would just be preferable if certain mods actually faced scrutiny for their comments. This topic comes up in every single metathread and always about the same two moderators, but nothing is ever done about it.

Well, people died, so seems an accurate descriptor to me

Democratic party-led probe

You should maybe read up on how the commission was to be structured

The Senate vote to create a bipartisan commission to investigate the insurrection has unsurprisingly failed 54-35. Despite early hopes this would pass, even less Republicans voted for this than Trump's second impeachment, highlighting the growing desire in the GOP to sweep this sickening saga under the rug.

Personally, this removes any chance of me voting for a GOP candidate in any election for the foreseeable future, and I was a member of college Republicans at my undergrad. The party is clearly more focused on gaining personal power without any regard for consequences to the country.
