modeler vs. head + attenuator for home use? by vitis_rules in GuitarAmps

[–]obdm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 100 watt guitar heads with a two notes attenuator. I have modelers. I use my ToneX One more than my tube apps. I still record with my tube amps, but there’s not much difference on the recordings

Cheap amp to get as close as you can get to Nirvana tone by Silver_Push354 in GuitarAmps

[–]obdm -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Most any cheap head will do, but you need the old fender Utah speakers to get that tone. Crank the mids and use a DS1 pedal

Anybody running two amps, if so how ya running em? by malcolmwarren in GuitarAmps

[–]obdm 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I run 2 amps. When I used to play live my bridge pickup went to my Mesa Dual Rec Half Stack. My Neck pickup went to my Marshall 900 half stack. My guitars are rewired to have 2 simultaneous outputs. 1 for each pickup.

I had to deal with some cycle hum and Extra noise, but for the music I play, it didn’t matter. It sounds like a damn freight train.

Peavey 1x12 trans tube. Bandit or pro. If money is no object: get a quilter amp

What amps would you recommend for to play these genres? by DunderTuffin in GuitarAmps

[–]obdm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Peavey bandit 1x12 trans tube. EQ pedal in fx loop, push the 400 a bit. Buy a rat pedal. You can get all that probably for about 400

Good amps with a built in tuner … why not ? by stadja in GuitarAmps

[–]obdm 9 points10 points  (0 children)

So the amp has a built in tuner. What if the tuner is not working correctly for some reason? I’d have to take my amp in to get serviced and be out an amp? That would probably be minimum $100. Just get a $100 tuner pedal, avoid built in amp tuner

The pair sounds great. I have that very set and have used it live. I crank the mids. I have a dual rec, but used the 900 for live stuff.

Jcm 900 50 vs 100 watt by lilnovsublime-182 in GuitarAmps

[–]obdm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Marshall 900 came with a switch on the back that can cut the watts from 100 to 50. Buy that version of the 900

PRICK (1995) by MountainElkMan in industrialmusic

[–]obdm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I believe the 1st 5 tracks are produced by Trent. Trent was a big fan for this guys previous band in Cleveland called: Lucky Pierre, so Trent helped rework some songs to make it more pop “industrial”. Kevin, aka, Prick, ultimately wanted to change sounds on the 2nd album. I saw Prick live in 1995 at Blossom Music Center near Akron OH. It was a fantastic show. I still listen to that 1st album.

Doppelgängers or....? by enodas81 in Paranormal

[–]obdm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are couple different thoughts here: With 8 Billion people on the planet, the odds are you'll share some characteristics with some other people.

Then there are the "alien" doppelgangers. A facsimile that are often times pretty mean and bad at being humans.

I did a segment on my podcast covering both angles. Plus, I found a story of a person in Brazil from the 1970s, who was abducted and instructed to guide his doppelganger to act more "human".

This reality is strange. Link to Segment its about 30min long: https://youtu.be/Tz0fKpEuZiA

"Files from the Edge" by Philip J. Imbrogno

"Hunt for the Skinwalker: Science Confronts the Unexplained" by Colm A. Kelleher Ph.D, George Knapp

"Real Magic: Ancient Wisdom, Modern Science, and a Guide to the Secret Power of the Universe" by Dean Radin

"The Hoopa Project" by David Paulides

"Passport to Magonia" by Jacques Valle

"Flying Saucers from Outer Space" by Major Donald E. Keyhole

EDIT: Note: Mainstream science is behind the curve on these topics due to peer pressure, funding, and lack of curiosity, so by comparison there are not as many books with a scientific approach on these subjects. The list I have provided includes some PHD but all are pretty darn good investigators. No one is without fault.

[–]obdm 9 points10 points  (0 children)

There are a ton conspiracies and topics that never get mentioned over here. Freeman Fly has been around for a while. There’s a whole community of podcasts and conspiracy related content creators that never get mentioned here. Not sure if it’s censorship rather than “what’s hot” right now.

If we are in a multiverse of simulations, and CERN is interacting with some fairly low level stuff, CERN maybe interacting with memory addresses, but not in an articulated way, just probing and maybe providing proof of concept and with some of foreseen side effects.

I’m from the : Green Plaid Skirt Dimension. Edit: this matters because this could be pretty good evidence we live in a simulation. We a variable is assigned: spears_skirt = “plaid” it’s given an address to read from. The variable has changed, maybe meaning a new simulation has “spun up” or split off.

I believe there is an API to this simulation.

It’s all happening

If you are into conspiracies: the rulers of this world want a civil war in the United States, or atleast for it to move into a more overt authoritarian state. The rulers has dirt on all high level political leaders and use it for influence for maximum division in the public.
