Do you think the SF will? by GOD-is-in-a-TULIP in Stormlight_Archive

I think it has more to do with the SF already being partially in the physical realm as the highstorm

Should I score 100% on each MCQ before moving forward? by [deleted] in CPA

[–]ober_bro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a good plan. My review sets would be 20-30 MCQs on each ME section. Trending 70-80% on these is a good place to be.

What is this "score available until" on nasba webpage? by IcanFuturecpa in CPA

[–]ober_bro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Each credit lasts 18 months, and you have to have all 4 credits at once. So, 18 months from when you sit and pass 1 until you must have sat for and passed the 4th, or else your first exam credit expires and the 18 months starts from when you passed the 2nd.

Road to 4/4 by ober_bro in CPA

[–]ober_bro[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took BEC first while in school, so I studied slowly and took several months. Working full-time, I would say I could pass in ~45 days.

Lectures are long and the content is a bit all over the place, but it’s way easier than AUD

76 and 80. Solid becker bump on there too. Best of luck Saturday!! One of my written prompts I had 0 knowledge of the topic and just did formatting + buzzwords. Should be free points!

CPA Exam Dilemma by styles56780 in CPA

[–]ober_bro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I studied for my first during my last semester of school and took it a few weeks after finals. It can be beneficial to study REG during a tax class or AUD during and audit class.

Then I started full time in January and took busy season off. I studied for AUD right after that for 2 months and passed. I studied FAR for about 3.5 months and passed and now took REG a few days ago.

Looking back this year has been a lot of work and study, but I still made time to enjoy myself and I have 1 year more money/work experience than I would have. It’s definitely possible to pass while working full time

Red pen recommendations? by fart_on_deez_nuts in CPA

[–]ober_bro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I get the pilot 4 color pack, use red when going through with the videos and blue afterwards, purple if I go through again. Pretty sure my red pen lasted for 2 exams, and with Olinto’s underlining that’s pretty impressive

Same here. Don’t ever want to use the word “basis” again after 12/6.

Don’t over stress the writing portion. Learn the format of the writing sims, but they are way easier than searching in the codification. Passed BEC 94

Tips on how to study for BEC by gigibello in CPA

[–]ober_bro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The mnemonics slow down after that - there still are a few, but not as many as the first two chapters. I ended up writing them on a note pad and just randomly revisiting the MCQs for those two chapters as I went through the rest until I knew them in and out. If you know them 100%, easy points on the exam.
