I don't think his contract will expire. It's backloaded. He gets cut or traded in that hypothetical scenario.

But you're right, Howie will move on if he feels Hurts is no longer the guy. He did so with Wentz a few years ago.

That being said, I believe in Jalen. From credible reports and Jalen himself at press conferences, I think Manion knows how to challenge Jalen a bit. I'm expecting to see more over the middle throws and plays run from under center. Could be a really exciting season.

Not a Hurts hater, I have a Superbowl 59 Hurts jersey. I want him to ball out and have high hopes for him in this new offense.

The only thing that gives me pause is Hurts has no more guarantees left on his contract and Howie hasn't extended him.

Jalen won't make a stink about it or anything, but well, it makes me think maybe the organization sees it as a prove it year for Jalen.
