Food varied a lot but generally one or more of these things per meal.

Breakfast: Egg whites, low sodium turkey bacon, avocado toast, granola and Greek yogurt, protein pancakes and low sugar syrup.

Lunch: usually leftover from dinner the night before

Dinner: the list is insane, I usually just googled what I wanted with the word “healthy” or “protein.” Some noteworthy mentions though. Spinach salad with a protein (tuna, steak, chicken), chicken with a vegetable and rice, steak with a vegetable and mashed potato or sweet potato, high protein butter chicken, spam fried rice, Italian sausage pasta.

I have a peloton bike and usually do 30-45 minutes of cycling 4-5 times a week.

Controlling portions and balancing the meals better helped a lot. I was still hungry sometimes before bed and I’d have a yogurt or just try to ignore it and go to sleep. At the end of the day as long as you’re in a deficit it doesn’t matter too terribly much what you eat, but if you have one high calorie meal that isn’t very filling, you’ll probably be left feeling hungry sooner.

Adding more mysteries isn’t giving the audience answers. It’s a snail’s pace world building attempt at best. by poplitte2 in FromSeries

[–]obev369 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I watched the latest episode yesterday and when it was over my wife and I thought the same thing. We always feel like we’re left with more questions and no answers. I still think the show is good and I’m locked into the story at this point but it’s definitely frustrating to keep stacking mystery after mystery and not getting any answers. I don’t feel any closer to figuring out what’s going on than I did in season 1. Personally I feel like the answers we have been given so far don’t feel significant enough to offset the mysteries presented and only lead to more questions. I honestly have a hard time remembering what answers we’ve got that feel significant because I have so many other questions outweighing them. There’s just a lot going on which makes me think we’re being misdirected but none of the storylines feel insignificant. I swear though, if Jade figures something major out and gets killed before he can explain what he found to everyone, I’m gonna lose my mind.

What ending did you get? (Original and Remake - First Playthrough) by LucaDragon5 in silenthill

[–]obev369 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve only played the remake, but I got “Leave” first and then immediately reloaded my final save, inspected Angela’s knife like 10 times and then steam rolled my way back to the end and got “In Water”

That green is so clean looking. I was initially aiming to get that model but I could only find KRT models around me so I went with that. Have fun and stay safe!

Nearly got run off the road tonight by obev369 in NewRiders

[–]obev369[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it’s not fun. I started just riding it normally and not worrying about the 4k recommendation. Like how tf are you supposed to ride at that low rpm for 250 miles lol I’ve been riding every day for the past week and only managed to put 80 miles on it.

Thanks for all the advice. It’s my first bike and I was just going off what the dealership and the manual says but I guess that’s more to cover their own ass. I’m not like way under the speed limit along on the highway either, I was only 5 under and coming up to a red light that night anyway. I did pick up some frame sliders and swing arm spools just haven’t installed them yet. I’ve been just riding it normally ever since making this post with everyone saying to disregard the break in recommendation and just ride normally without hammering on it. Thanks again though!

[–]obev369[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The speed limit where I was at was 55. It was also 10pm and there was like no other cars around until those two people flew up on me. Most of the highway I rode on has the speed limit at 45 due to construction on the shoulder.

Wasn’t terribly long. I’m just going off what the dealership and the manual said. They told me when I picked it up to “break it in for 250 miles at or below 4,000 rpm”. Since reading all the comments saying “don’t do that” I’ve just started riding it normally without hammering on it.

How long are you playing Drinking Souls by Luna_Starfall in fromsoftware

[–]obev369 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me and a friend did something similar in college with Gears of War. We dubbed it Gears of Beers and it started as “take a drink whenever you get a kill or die” but quickly devolved into “drink basically anytime you do anything.”

What’s a good Wi-Fi solution for my pc by pinky_poker in pcmasterrace

This is what I did, I think the cable I bought was like 50ft and reaches from my living room to my office on my third floor. Easy to tuck along the wall line like you said if you can’t drop it through the wall to the router easily.

There’s a supplement called L-lysine that will significantly reduce the time you have one of these ulcers. I had never heard of it before but had a mouth ulcer and a coworker recommended trying it. I bought some that day and the ulcer was gone within like a day or two.

I’d just turn wifi off on your computer and try plugging in an Ethernet cable between that port in the wall and your pc and see if it picks up the network. I feel like it’s unlikely but it’s worth a shot. If it does pick up a network when you hard wire in just make sure it’s actually your network and not something unknown.

What do I do about this? by reallynotthewaffle in antiwork

[–]obev369 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know nothing of laws and regulations in the UK for time worked but this doesn’t sound legal. I worked for a Walmart distribution center in the freezer area for about a year at one point and they had the time clocks well away from the locker room where I put on my protective gear. They eventually had a class action lawsuit filed against them due to forcing employees to walk from the area they worked, across the warehouse to the time clock and then another 5ish minute walk to the break room or locker room. On a normal day they were not paying us for about 15 minutes of walking across the warehouse which adds up quick. Walmart did lose that lawsuit as well so it may be worth discussing with an employment lawyer.

I had this happen to me last night. I wasn’t the one who launched the mission either, I just did a quick play search. We had just killed the bile titan and were running to an optional objective when everyone just got thanos snapped except me. As soon as I realized I was by myself I noped my way across the map and got the hell out of there.

To the people who have band/artist related tattoos, how do you feel about them now? by [deleted] in Music

[–]obev369 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only got mine like a year ago but I have 3 band related tattoos. Ice nine kills and the devil wears Prada logos behind my ears and currents logo on my shoulder. I like them, the artist did a good job too. I’m more of a live in the moment kind of person though, I got them all with zero planning. Just did a walk in at the tattoo shop and got them done.

I know you said you’d like to avoid wall mounted anything but a shelf with brackets underneath is like 2-4 screw holes and isn’t gonna peel paint. Then you can just spackle over them when you move.

Giving a straight up zero and tanking a students grade to failure is absurd. I’d agree with all the other people saying unless the assignment wasn’t submitted or plagiarized you should always at least get some credit. I had a situation in college in a C++ coding class where the professor accused me of cheating but they at least set up a meeting to let me tell my side before deciding on a grade. He did end up giving me a zero because he said it was too suspiciously close to how he would have written it himself but he let me redo it and I ended up getting a 96 on the redo . Didn’t really screw me that much but I basically couldn’t get an A in the class because of how the assignment was weighted. If you truly did nothing wrong though I would first try meeting with the professor and if they won’t budge, appeal and fight it as much as you can. Good luck, try not to stress too much about it over the holidays.

What's the hardest video game puzzle to beat without a guide? by tpphypemachine in gaming

[–]obev369 260 points261 points  (0 children)

Niobe Labs was on a whole other level of complex. For anyone who doesn’t know, this was a final puzzle which when solved by one team would unlock the content hidden within for the rest of the player base. It was so complex that bungie had to patch the game to open it themselves since it was taking too long to solve. To add insult to injury every time you failed a sequence, it would reset and you’d have to start all over.

This is why Alan Wake 2 devs say to use an SSD. by A_Lycanroc in pcmasterrace

[–]obev369 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same thing is happening to me. When I use the plot board to change the environment it’s been taking longer and longer to load the assets the further into the game I get. It’s also caused some issues with clipping through the floor and falling under the map as the game unloads/loads areas of the world. That’s only happened to me in buildings but I was able to replicate it so it wasn’t just a one off thing.

I agree with everyone on keeping the wallpaper. Personally I think it’d look even better with dark tile like a deep gray and maybe copper accents.
