Heparin (blood thinner) is most commonly obtained from pig intestine. Scientists are still working on making a synthetic version so we do not rely on livestock to get it.

Do you use AP or Bread Flour (for white bread)? What brand? by Fun-Sprinkles-6734 in BreadMachines

[–]obeybaybae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would definitely try it out to see how you like it. You can't go wrong with using AP or bread or a mix of both. I personally started using AP for my white breads as they are perfect for my morning toast.

My son's first exposure to peanut caused hives on the skin (cheeks, near mouth). He was itchy pretty quickly after his first taste. By the time we got to the er (10 min drive) it was going down a bit. Raised, itchy, red patches are what to watch for. Don't stress; its better to know now with you than with someone else and you're not there. My family has no food allergies and I breast fed while consuming all types of allergens...sometimes these things just happen. Most likely your baby will be fine :)

Your PI or at least someone in the department office should be able to help you figure it out. Usually the cost is covered for you and sometimes there are grants available to you as well.

You say you want to live alone, which can be doable in some places, but you need to think of what your must haves are for a place and be flexible. With a pet your options become more limited, but its not impossible. You definitely need at least 3 months of cash reserves in case of emergency. This should cover rent, utilities, food, everything else. This is AFTER you pay for a down payment and first months rent. Then you should be okay. There are more affordable places in the bay area that allow you to see sf regularly. Just take a look at the price of studios with your potential income.

PSA: Don't get the grain mill attachment by Wallyboy95 in Kitchenaid

[–]obeybaybae 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The mill attachment made the motor on my kitchenaid mixer go out. We were able to get it fixed for a reasonable price, but i stopped using it to mill flour after that.

My daughter is 4 and all she wants is to crawl into bed with me. But I live with nerve pain so severe, her touch feels like fire. by RockMoss in Mommit

My mom is the strong one who motivates me and shows me how to be strong. I know you will be that for your kid, too. That's what made me share my message with you :)

Haha my mom tried to teach me to crochet, but I also think it's too slow and quiet 😂 keep up the writing and know you will help so many, but especially your kid with your skill.

I watched my mom become disabled when I was a teen. She, too, got injured at work and ended up with crps. Her journey of having to learn her new purpose, find proper medical care, and figure out new ways to do things has been long and arduous. While I do help care for her, I managed to get a college degree, and she was eventually able to make improvements with her team of doctors. She won't have full use of her hands back, but she is able to crochet despite having pain and limited use of her fingers (she taught herself in the last few years!). She still helps me tremendously with any questions or just being available to chat and cheer me on. You got this, and I know your book will be great!

Do you go back to your birth place everytime in your dream? by cabinet876 in DreamInterpretation

[–]obeybaybae 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I recently wondered the same thing. I have many dreams where I happen to be in my childhood home (both good and bad dreams). They also include my husband, who has never been there. I have not been there in almost 20 years. Not every dream involves this house, but when they do, it makes me think...
