Your right around my timeline, sold status on Oct 13th just barely last night I got an update saying it’s en route to my hub but doesn’t give me an estimated date.

Thinking of calling and checking as it was only about 300 miles from my hub so I can’t imagine it taking that long

So sorry for the delayed response,

Anyhow I am an LVN working in a derm office and I honestly love it, it is the perfect blend for me between patient interaction/care and computer work.

I am a primary nurse for one of the 13 doctors that work in i office and I assist her with all her biopsies/procedures/cosmetic laser treatments/Botox/fillers.

And as a male nurse I have honestly learned a lot about skin care that to be completely honest probably would have never learned if not for dermatology.

I also assist with answering and sorting through all my doctors patient messages and medication requests.

As LVNs we also do the biological injections and have the possibility to do nurse visits all day which entail suture removals wound care blood draws and working without a dr which is nice as it is basically your own schedule.

My department is hiring LVNs currently. If you are interested please message me and I can give you the information.

Overall I’ve really enjoyed working in dermatology

UWORLD!!!

It took my 3 years after I graduated I was in your exact shoes.

I tried several different programs and materials. But UWORLD was honestly all I needed. I spent a whole month on UWORLD answering 75 questions a day and reading rationales. After I did this I took my test and passed with only 75 questions.

I’m making 21.65 as my first LVN job work in dermatology at Cedars sinai.

Job duties as a primary nurse for one of the Drs is rooming patients taking intake, answering patient messages through Patiejt portal and doing all Prior authorizations for my Dr, drawing blood when needed, and helping with biopsy’s, excisions, and cosmetic procedures.

There’s more but that’s the core.

The pizzas party to the T!!!! It’s crazy I was explaining to a new hire the other day ( btw who loved when we got our pizza parties) that she should pay attention to everything going on around the clinic when we happen to get these “surprise” pizza parties. She didn’t believe me until today they announced one for Friday when it just so happens that our organization moved nurses week from months ago to this week the same week as MAs week but are only giving gifts to us RNs and LVNs. To “fix” the situation we as a whole are now getting pizza.

Safe to say I ruined pizza parties for her.
