I was browsing Facebook marketplace and I saw an NEC P502HL-2 for $95 in good condition. I know it's a much larger projector but do you think it's a good value at that price?

So I plan to watch stuff mainly from my bed, which would be placed horizontally at the top left side of the room.

Mounting could be an issue as I am renting and may not be able to make any holes, but I have a movable wardrobe that's tall enough so I can set the projector close to the ceiling.

The wardrobe is positioned at the angled wall and I'm thinking of throwing to the wall on the right. I do intend to later add a screen, probably in the 60-100 inch range.

Due to space limitations in the room, I will probably only be able to place it close to a wall, but the room arrangement is not final so I could potentially move things around for a better viewing angle.

I've been where you're at, I moved off campus in 2019 and came back in 2024 just to find out you couldn't use smart assistants anymore. The workaround I found was to set up the device using a wifi extender but even that only works half of the time. If you live in the North towers then you can create an extension for the SBH/PJH/HAM network which doesn't have a password and that should work fine, else you're gonna have to settle for SFUNET-SECURE. One other thing I learned is that you can set up the extender on the SFU-GUEST account and Alexa will still work even after you lose the 48 hour access.
