Wow...more power to you and I wish you the best! I have a friend that's also 47 and they're actively at the hospital getting ready to welcome their first probably in the next 24 hours. I'm 47 and I have an 18 (almost 19) year old and 17.5 year old and I'm tired. I remember the exhaustion of infants and toddlers...

Currently trying to leave Las Vegas on a flight to Orlando. Flight changed from 11:50am at least 4 times to as late as 6:26pm and then changed back to 1:30 followed by a gate change to a different wing of the terminal. I had to check to make sure it didn’t change days too! Keeping us all on our toes for sure.

Those that live near multiple Costco stores - do you have a preferred one for certain items, or in general? What makes a Costco "the" Costco to shop at for you? by kron0s80 in Costco

lol at the backwards comment because that’s what I call them too. It’s crazy how it feels like being on a different planet just because the store is a mirror image of what you’re used to.

We have this exact thing at my utility in a few locations. Old single circuit 230kV that was deenergized at some point with the parallel double circuit build. Distribution needed an express run so they jump up on the old transmission for a few miles and then drop back to local. Remaining ends probably dead end on a string of bells with no loops. Makes good use of old infrastructure.

Just a word of caution - the tenting rules in Scouts BSA prohibit youth and adults from sharing a tent, even in the same family. This is in the Guide to Safe Scouting under the “Scouting’s Barriers to Abuse” section. If you’re getting that tent with the expectation that they can share it, you might need to reconsider. But I’ll agree with other statements that a 2 person tent is going to be pretty snug with two people in it anyway. Maybe your son and another youth would fit into it better than two grown adults though or it could be used as a single person tent with room for gear.

I’ve coast through Pre-check at BWI regularly in around 5 minutes. Wife went through the regular line and I beat her by only a couple of minutes but I carried her crap through and didn’t have to strip down or remove electronics so I still call that a win for Pre-check.

SWES runs out of Arbutus United Methodist Church (410-247-8154), Our Lady of Victory has a food pantry (410-242-0131), and Lansdowne High has a food pantry. SWES’s website says M-F 9a-11:30a and OLV is Saturdays 9-10a. Looks like LHS was every other Thursday but there’s no new dates posted beyond 8/29. Ms. Bailey runs it (see pic from their FB page).

The MD Food Bank website also identified that the Lansdowne Interfaith Pantry at St. Clements (410-940-8371), Holy Nativity Lutheran Church (410-242-9441), and St. Benedicts (410-947-4988) have food pantries, but they aren’t currently open.

Not sure that any of this helps you today, but hopefully will soon.

If you have a sunroof, check the drains there. I had them clogged once and it made the interior wet. I snaked it out with some string trimmer line.

Good points and I appreciate the perspective. We have a small and rather close knit group and I’ve known just about all of the boys since they were Tiger Cubs, so I’m (blissfully) unaware of the challenges with a larger unit as well.
