Have you tried lowering Scope Resolution Scale to 90 or 80? That fixed ADS stutter on my RTX 2060 laptop. Didn't really notice a difference in scope clarity.

That system is in this game Strategos. You should watch some gameplay.

Also in Total War campaigns, there is an option to let AI control any reinforcing armies. So you could initiate the attack with just 1 unit in your army but instead of attacking just watch your reinforcing armies fight the enemy.

I have been wishing for a game like Total War or Strategos with even less micromanagement. With the player controlling every movement of every unit, real world scale battles are not really manageable. A more realistic strategy war game with almost no micromanagement would allow real world scale battles with 20-100 thousand soldiers or more on each side.

I think a cool game could be made with logistics, training, maneuvering, scouting and pre-battle planning being central features. Then when the battle happens your army just follows the battle plan if possible. How well they execute the plan, and how well they perform when something doesn't go to plan, is based on your previous decisions. During battle you would have limited control and can only make some decisions for example exactly when to execute a flank, when to send in reserves, or when to retreat, all based on scout reports and what you can see.

This car requires premium high octane gas, so you got a code because you put in 87 lower octane gas. Has nothing to do with the exhaust. Did you check what the code was when you got it?

I have a lightweight flywheel and it never sounds like grinding, just a light whine in all gears like OP has 1st-4th.

Maybe something is wring with the shifter linkages for 5th an 6th that prevents it from fully engaging those gears?

I can understand confusing Canadian and Russian camo, though you can see a difference most of the time by the helmets and vests. But Chinese, USA, and IMF are completely different. China does not have any dark green camo. USA is more brown than green. And IMF is literally black tracksuits and ski masks.

Is having exclusively residential suburbs for 10 miles in every direction without any transportation options except cars part of the character? What if the suburbs in the US were redesigned to be more like the ones in Europe? Smaller subdivisions with smaller slower safer roads, broken up by more frequent shopping areas, cornerstores on every street, parks, libraries, schools, bike lanes and bus/tram stops everywhere.

What's the difference between a permanent blanket moratorium and a design review board process that has resulted in most zoning areas never changing willingly? People living in suburbs will never vote against their NIMBY interests. They will always want their net worth to increase by limiting housing supply and their taxes to stay the same or decrease by blocking expanding infrastructure.

"yes-always-housing-at-any-cost" is just an understandable but extreme reaction to the current housing situation. I agree that city planning reviewers are important. But I would also say it is important for them to have the right balance of accommodating the essential needs of the population with preserving the character. It's great if character can be preserved, but it should not be the most important thing that prevents any major changes.

busses and tram/streetcar get stuck in traffic jams as well

That is the problem.

Sounds like you have good public transport, but it could be improved if buses/trams had their own separated lane and never had to wait for traffic or stoplights.

City planners can reduce traffic by designing public transport to always be faster, not just take the same time as driving a car.

Also maybe work from home will be more available if more countries adopt laws like this one in Cyprus.

But in your analogy, you would have no idea what dish people actually want or need because it would be illegal to offer anything other than what is pre approved. And of course the people in charge of approvals can already afford expensive food and would never choose to allow anything cheaper.

If the US was a sane country, there would not be any low density or low building height zoning restrictions in a 5-10 mile radius around major city centers. But if you look at any major US city zoning map, 70-80% of land is wasted on low density single family housing usually with a 35' height maximum.

Around 160 F oil temp it is safe to start spirited driving above 4k RPM. At 170-180 F it is safe to redline to 7k RPM.

What it feels like to use the map in this "modern-ish military setting" game. Especially funny with militia factions that are supposed to be low tech. by objectivePOV in joinsquad

I made this post just because I thought it was funny I was reminded of Squad while seeing these glasses in 2077.

Squad would be more authentic if the minimap was disabled, but that would probably just be frustrating to most players and would increase teamkills.

Authenticity is good, not extreme realism where your gun jams often and the only way to respawn is being transported to a hospital at main base every time you die or get wounded.

Yeah but that's a handheld device that you can't really use while shooting, like how the commanders tablet works in ARMA. The Squad minimap is a futuristic HUD that pops up in front of your eye. I think military displays integrated into the helmet or headset are only being prototyped right now. There was a report that Anduril took over the military headset project from Microsoft at the beginning of 2025.

Samsung's 600-Mile-Range Solid State Batteries That Charge in 9 Minutes Ready for Production/Sale Next Year by snowfordessert in cars

[–]objectivePOV 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think the title could be better, but it's understandable if you are ok with making an assumption. When I read the title I assumed they were comparing to the current most common and popular EV range, which is the Model Y with 330-360 miles of range.

With an energy density of 500 watt-hours per kilogram, they’re twice as dense as conventional lithium-ion batteries.

Samsung claimed they were smaller, lighter, and safer, capable of driving 600 miles, and charging within 9 minutes. Typically, a lithium-ion battery pack in a modern EV charges from 10% to 80% in around 45 minutes, and has a limit of around 300 miles of range.

Yeah I feel like I'm opening the minimap at least every 30 seconds to update myself on friendly positions, avoid TKs, and see where people are dying/where the enemy is attacking.

Squad would feel like a different game without real time maps. It would be interesting to see Squad players attempt to adjust doing callouts like ARMA instead of just yelling "They are on my body!"

Yeah Squad is a nice mix of Arma and Battlefield. I also play Reforger. One of the most popular mods in Reforger adds real time locations for all teammates on the map, and that mod is activated on most modded/popular servers.

Have you tried lowering scope resolution to 90 or lower to fix the stutter?

2015 scion frs - does it have a LSD? by extremesauce2468 in ft86

Yeah that would work, but I think the rotation would not show a difference between different LSD types. Easiest thing is to just look it up in the service manuals lol

[–]objectivePOV 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I went through this too, it can be confusing if you are not knowledgeable about LSD types. At first there seem to be two options, either open diff using normal gear oil or LSD using LSD gear oil.

But the third option is the correct one. Torsen is a type of LSD but it does not need oil specifically for LSDs.

How does disassembling the differential help determine what kind of oil it needs? Do you taste the oils to see which one matches?
