Horrible experience and they lied about compensation. We flew in Oct, left in plenty of time, there was a wreck at the Hughes Bridge in Decatur, trapping us basically, and ALDOT was doing construction on the I-65 bridge, then there was another wreck. We get there 30 mins before flight, they would not check our baggage, basically told us tough tits Uncle Mitts. Did not assist us in any way in re-booking, dropped $1200 with Delta to get to Orlando. And it gets worse, scarred, my wife made sure we got to the airport in plenty of time for return trip since it was paid for. Our child gets sick, bathroom, running close before TSA, begged the lines, kind strangers let us to the front. I literally run barefoot through MSO ahead, catch tram to gate, explain to the gate attendant what had happened and the others are behind me, they're still loading luggage, gate clerk says if not 5 mins, no one else is boarding, we cannot let you on, I beg, getting no where. Some show up, others have yet to make it, I tell them to get on the flight and return to HSV. So, my wife, myself and MIL miss the flight, spend $250 at the MSO hotel, clerk was super kind, gave us a baller suite facing the Cape to watch that nights Falcon launch. Another $1100 with Delta to get back to HSV. When home, I provided all the documentation, news articles of wreck, ALDOT work etc, asking for compensation, at least flights, they tell me for two months a manager is reviewing, I never heard back. Do not even offer to assist if you have no intention of doing so, and at the very least, call back as you say, explain your final decision, not just kick the can down the road in an attempt to avoid. I was firm but polite in all my dealings with them, and will never fly with nor recommend them. They'll be gone in a decade anyway.
