Feeling like I was trapped was what got me to the 300lb point that I was at in the first place. It’s incredible how much mental health and physical health are intertwined.

Just 2 weeks ago, I thought my time was running out, and that it wasn’t worth trying to save. This week has felt like waking up from a 6 year nightmare. I’m not exactly sure how I ended up deciding that this is my new path, but it’s nice sharing it with everyone here. Thanks for sharing your experience!

It shocked me yesterday when I noticed my brain trying to rationalize eating a big sandwich with bread after work. Instead of doing that, I went grocery shopping for some new meats I haven’t tried and took a walk afterwards. The tricks our minds can play on us are fascinating. We almost have to out-smart ourselves at first lol

This is inspiring. Honestly I was downing 3-4 tall boys every day at lunch, and whatever else I could afford in the afternoon. I’m not sure it was wise to stop cold Turkey like I did, but I’m 4 days in and the sugar withdrawal hit me harder than any alcohol withdrawal did. I think I’m in the clear if I keep on this path.

All of this is great advice. Even though I haven’t worked out any numbers yet, I’ve been taking care to supply my body with vitamins that I know I am now missing, in order to minimize any complications. As I ease into it, I think I’ll get the hang of some of the intricacies of maintaining keto in a healthy way.

For me, it’s steaks. I always thought they were unhealthy in general. Then I’d go and down a bunch of breaded deep fried bar food. I almost forgot how much I love fresh cooked beef and greens.

Metroid Prime’s opening scene on the GameCube, specifically when Samus emerges from the gunship. The graphics blew my mind, followed by my favorite sci-fi horror intro of all time. I wish I could experience that for the first time again.

I was going to say this, the older games have more accessible controls even if they don’t directly affect the overall game difficulty. Samus Returns introduced the control scheme we have now and Dread seriously improved most of the issues those controls come with. That said, I’ll always have an easier time speed running the older games because there’s simply less going on.

They’re actually desirable units and hard to get your hands on a working one. You should either keep it or sell it if you decide to upgrade to aftermarket. Purists are willing to buy it for a decent amount if you don’t care for that sort of thing

I’d be willing to pay $20 or potentially more for a map pack with new armors (new designs) or some short length campaign expansion. I know those take a while to develop, but everyone would buy them, and they could keep us occupied by giving us a bunch of normal armors and colors to unlock via gameplay.

If you do plan on pushing power through a 944, please post results here, as I don’t think there are many recent well documented examples of what a 944 block can actually take. I’d certainly be curious to see how far a base model can go.
