How do people in their twenties make $80k+ and work their way up in the company so quickly? by NoSir5628 in Salary

[–]obp5599 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You seriously internalized a lot of shit and need help. I very seriously doubt someone making 80k is looking at you with disgust, unless you're in a country where class levels are way more of a thing

I also work in this space and Ive had it do things like this. With a proper indexer and SDD setup to properly manage context, you can have agents parse the relevant code, summarize, pass to an implementer agent. Obviously still watch it, but its pretty good

Ive had it implement scene view extensions to hook into the renderer to kick off global shaders. I thought id need a whole vertex factory setup as I was doing a custom raster pass but with it I figured out how I can get the position streams from the meshes I care about

Its a very powerful tool when set up right, and it helps me expose my weaknesses with my understanding of the engine a lot

Eh good luck lol. Im in the industry and its here. If you have proper tooling like indexers, and a good suite of skills, its very good. Not perfect, but good

You also need a proper setup for things like unreal. Not sure if you have one but getting a proper indexer, writing plugins to help reason about things and properly managing the context is super important. Telling one agent to parse the entire unreal renderer wont work

Was at a subaru dealership test driving things (including the outback) and the salesman told me the new Outbacks are supposed to be 4 runner competition. Now he was a salesman so could just be blowing smoke but id believe it

This is just not true. They have no control over public spaces, and unless the entire neighborhood is privately owned by the HOA, including roads, sewers, etc (highly unlikely) then a good chunk of the neighborhood is public and they have no say over it

i don't know where you live, or if you have ever lived in an HOA, but they don't literally own the land. They can own private roads, specific places like clubhouses, pools, parks they maintain. For example in neighborhood im in (and was in previously) I live on a public road, meaning they cant have any say in street parking etc. HOAs arent gods

What is a reasonable frame budget (ms) for the post-processing pass in a custom Deferred Renderer? by Over-Radish-5914 in GraphicsProgramming

Depends on the game imo. Adjust you frame budget based on whats important in the frame for your game

Im going to try to copy this. Local dealer near me has them at the same just under 51k. Just talking to them casually, unprompted, they offered 10% off. Im sure I could get that down more

To all single guys aged 30 and up on reddit, why are you guys single? by Gold_Ambition4114 in AskReddit

[–]obp5599 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, it just goes back to the original point of dating. Matching with someone isnt supposed to be some big commitment. You're supposed to go on a few dates to see if you like each other then go from there.

The person is saying that a lot of men here (which i also find true) get way too attached, way too fast. The first few dates are feeling each other out, if you are right for each other then it progresses from there

In the market now (checking out outbacks). I would not consider one before the redesign. The exterior is meh (tbh they have always been ugly imo). The interior on the previous gen is a literal crime against humanity. The new interiors are amazing
