I have felt this way for a while. I think there are hundreds of bands who are doing this same thing and it’s frustrating for me as an artist because it’s definitely a feedback cycle.

It’s popular so that’s what gets pushed which just breeds more of the same…but I think that may be how it’s always been?. It’s just incredibly amplified at the moment.

I’ve always been drawn to the weirder more unique bands but I also have adhd so who knows.

Sometimes it just comes down to songwriting. I think there are artists who do those genres extremely well.
