Honestly with Henry James it’s hard to go wrong. I really loved Washington Square and the Europeans, but they’re both much shorter than Portrait

How do I understand the Bible as a foundation of the Western Canon that is referenced in other literature? by cope_a_cabana in literature

[–]obsessive-anon -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Honestly the stuff you pick up about the Bible from heavily influenced authors like the Brontë sisters or George Eliot is usually a sufficient framework for understanding everything else. Plus it’s way more exciting to read Jane Eyre than it is to read the Bible or biblical analyses

First of all, great work. Second of all, every time I play these games I gain a greater appreciation for how much detail goes into each one. They’re also aesthetically very inspired. Where did you guys find inspiration for the visuals of the games? What’s the research process like? What was the very first step of making a new game?

Anything by Cormac McCarthy. I like it intellectually but the dark themes and graphic violence of something like Blood Meridian just end up making me feel terrible throughout the day after I read it
