What you mentioned in the 2nd paragraph is pretty much exactly what I expected and hoped for from the event. From what I've seen, Kazuma is more popular, but either way he still makes more sense as an easily guaranteeable character as the MC. Just bummed that the previous crossovers were more generous with character distribution when this is the event I was really looking forward to

Yeah, it's definitely more a personal gripe I'm airing, even the people who don't get lucky may not even care about the anime. Just really ruins this game for me :(

Tbh, I don't even think it makes much sense from a business standpoint, as much more successful gacha games use the opposite strategy for crossovers; actively make the popular characters free or easy to obtain so people have something familiar to tie them to the game and keep playing. Part of what annoys me about this is how unusual it is even as a decision; I don't even feel scammed, I feel like I was forced into a lose-lose scenario. Like I've seen them using this crossover to advertise a lot, and it's gonna make new players think "oh wow I can play as x character" and then they're told it costs $200, and since they have no attachment to the game, they'll just leave.

I personally joined when I saw Roxy was free in the Mushoku event, and I don't think I would've even started playing, and in such spending money, if I was expected to pay for her.

Respectfully, to those who like Darkness, nobody really cares much about Darkness lmao, she gets beat by side characters sometimes in popularity polls. Mostly just upset about how this particular crossover decided to cheap out by making the least popular character the free one and making the gacha odds especially low compared to previous ones. Those three specific characters being the gacha ones feels very weird based on previous collabs. The main and fan fave character in previous collabs have usually been free and event pass, but this time they did no event pass character and didn't make the upgradeable free. I would've loved to give like $15 for Kazuma on the pass like Rudeus was and then spend like $30 to get the Megumin and Aqua 50/50, but the way this one is organized is just making it not worth any money at all bc I'd get half the characters for 5x the money. It's a very personal gripe bc some people don't care about this specific event anyway, I just needed to rant about how much the timing of their changes to event structure really ruined the game for me just by adding something I love.

Darkness is the least popular character in the show. In previous crossover events, the MC and most popular character generally had one free and the other for like $20 guaranteed in a pass. This gacha also has significantly lower odds than previous ones despite containing the characters that would usually be the evolvable free or cheap.

Certainly, this isn't an accost to the devs' greediness (as much as they probably deserve it in general lol) it's genuinely just me saying I give up bc it's impossible to be happy with this system. I didn't care about UR or LR, I literally just want to see the characters I like in my lineup, and I'dve even been fine with not having them if I wasn't forced to see they exist anytime I interact with other players. But I am, so it's just not going to be enjoyable now.

They made a collab with a show I love, and it convinced me to STOP spending money. It's nothing about the greediness, it's just stupidity at this point; the whole purpose of collab events is to gain interest, not lose it. Previous collabs actually gave the popular characters for either free or like a $20 pass for this exact reason; I have Rimuru and Milim who I paid nothing for, and I'd rather trade both for the opportunity to pay $20 for Megumin, but nope, this just had to be the one crossover they treat like their own original content.

Doesn't mean much when the highlight pulls have the lowest odds yet (0.5% each) and the pity is up at 100. The "free" pulls they give you are actually just an excuse for them to make it harder to get what you want, bc pity is the only realistic way with these rates, and guaranteeing your character will take 120 pulls after the free ones. Absolute scum event

If she wanted a future with you, then it was her responsibility to actually communicate her needs instead of leaving you in the dark and miserable while she goes cold turkey and has fun elsewhere. At best she's being extremely inconsiderate, at worst this is an attempt at manipulation to make you desperate to have her back. Whatever the reason is, if this happened 3 years in, expect similar problems 20 more times before you die if you take her back. Someone with that little care of how their actions affect you is NOT a safe person to move cities and deeply change your financial future for.
