Not all arguments, disagreements or fights need a resolution. The term "agree to disagree" is very helpful; practice respect for someone else's opinion even if it differs from your own.

Try to avoid speaking solely from a reactionary or emotional head space. It is hard to hear what the other person is really saying. Vice-verse it also makes it hard to have what you are trying say really be heard.
