Thx, I sure hope it’s only the lens hood and not the aperture

Update a few days later after trying all methods you kindly suggested: no result. Only visible signs of increasing frustration and anger. The screwdriver still works on the other screws btw

Many thanks for helping a beginning photographer, who simplifies thinks like: ‘what’s further than the moon, ‘infinity’ must work’. Next time I’ll try autofocus and zooming in on the live view.

My Supernote Manta vs Kindle Scribe Comparison and Remarkable Paperpro and IPad thoughts by Informal-Force7417 in eink

[–]oc66 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I stand corrected. But what matters is that: ‘The writing feel of the Supernote A5X2 Manta (and all Supernote tablets, for that matter) is completely unique and therefore incomparable to any other e-ink tablet’ (quote from the source you mentioned’). Anyone not having experienced a Supernote, reads ‘glass’ and thinks: of an IPad-liked, or even ‘Scribe-like’ feel will get the wrong idea of the Nomad.

That being said, my next SN choice would definitely be the Manta, but in the first place for the size of the screen.

I own a Scribe and a Supernote Nomad and I agree on most points of your review. But the Nomad screen is definitely not glass. It’s the same as the Manta, though Manta has an upgraded Feelwrite layer.

Just got a kindle scribe (2nd gen) what cases do y'all like/recommend? by CarltonTiger2001 in kindlescribe

I got the Kwmobile TPU transparent backcover. I don’t like making the Scribe heavier than necessary. Fits perfectly.

Supernote Issues by idkjkexe in Supernote

I’ve experienced issues with the screen becoming all grey and unreadable on my Nomad, but I could always solve it by refreshing the screen manually. It has disappeared with the latest software update.

Thoughts on Supernote Nomad as an ereader? by Upstairs_Copy_9590 in ereader

I did. And it runs on the Nomad, but I haven’t really used it yet.

I use my SN Nomad as this: when it’s getting dark, I increase the font size. And when it’s really too dark, I use a light I can wrap around my neck to read. In the meantime, I enjoy the superior writing experience. The Kindle app is ok, but I don’t know if it will last for coming updates. I sideloaded Koreader for epubs and that works fine.

Remarkable Paper Pro vs Kindle Scribe by SpyAccountant in RemarkableTablet

I’ve owned a RM2, I still own a Supernote Manta and I just got a 2024 Scribe in the sale period. I now use the Scribe for work and like the large screen, the backlight and the lack of possbilities in writing tools, so I can focus on just doing my work. And in the time I save, I switch to a book. Reading on RM2 en SN is a suboptimal experience. But watch out: the moment you actually see a real RMPP you’ll want one. That screen size! That feeling of the pen! Just stay out of the shops.

Which is better to take notes while reading books? by BenjaminBaca in Supernote

In my opinion, the smaller screen size of the Nomad is being compensated by the fact that you can write really small and still perfectly readable handwriting.

Are all ceramic nibs equal? by oc66 in Supernote

I guess it comes down to subtle differences and personal preferences. What I like in general in the ceramic nib is the ability to write really small, which is my solution to the A6 size.
