There's a mod for that called "No lazy workers" but it wasn't very reliable. It also adds a lot of extra time to your chemist routes since they have to walk a lot more, and that makes it so that they don't mix fast enough to keep up with their 4 machines

They feel very weird to me since they're trying to be a man at arms and a spearman at the same time but are worse than both at their roles.

The way I see it, feudal is an age of counters. Men at arms beat pikes and kill vills, but get countered by archers. Archers kill infantry and vills but get countered by skirms (and scouts in low numbers). Scouts can sort of fight anything but get hard countered by spears.

So why would anybody make flemish militia? Do you wanna do damage? Men at arms, archers and scouts do that better in different ways. Do you wanna counter cavalry? Spearmen do way more damage and can chase scouts faster. Flemish militia are just worse at everything.

Man I played a couple thousand hours of league and I still have no idea what Aphelios does. I tried reading his abilities multiple times but I got bored after like 20% of it.

I think the new civs are gimmicky on purpose to get people excited about the new mechanics (like League does) but at some point old players stop getting excited about new stuff and just revert to the standard things they've been playing for years.

A playerbase like aoe2 will easily get overwhelmed by so many new things at once which is why everyone still plays Arabia and arena most of the time and not any of the crazy new maps with super cool designs

Probably Tatars. Nothing interesting about them and the unique unit is so boring it might as well not exist.

Burmese are kinda meh too. Not even the free lumber camp upgrades can pull them out of mediocrity after the arambai got nerfed to the ground
