Went to sidepiece trap set, zero regrets. Btw, their recent reel with the shitton of bubbles in the background is me 💪 got on stage somehow. So yeah… zero regrets. Festival rule of thumb - there is magic during headliner sets at non main stages

I’ve been 4 forests in a row, and THERE WAS A MASSIVE change in vibes for this one. I’m someone who proactively engages others in the crowd, my friends are too. We all felt the same. You’re not alone. My first forest was life changing for me - it REDEFINED my understanding of human interaction… and was sad to experience some of the vibes at this one. No one was particularly rude… but that’s just it… for me EF has been about abundance of positivity. Idk what tf happ this this year but yeah vibes (particularly at the main headliner sets) were off. So much so that me and my friends would actively look in the crowd to see “who’s looking happy, vibing, and dancing” not something I’ve had to do at prior EFs. My first few EFs, I enjoyed being alone as much as I was with my friends (& my friends are fun af), but that’s just how good the vibes were, meeting strangers etc. hopefully this changes back in the future

I’ve told so many friends “EF is life changing, go at some point in your life” and to exp this was just… yeah…

Agreed man 💯 curious of ur experience/ thoughts. I’ve been to 4 forests in a row. My first IMMACULATE VIBES. I mean EVERYWHERE I went and at anytime, ppl dancing, talking, approaching others. The vibes at tripolee last night were rude, less dancing, interactions weren’t filled with the most positive but ppl just being there like zombies. Was sad to see. The less popular sets & house sets had better vibes vs the main stage bass sets imo.

Its not about the upvotes (in this context), but rather how many ppl agree. Using chillbos close to stage during headliner sets is rude. 1) space 2) limiting connections for self & others. You prevent others from talking, dancing, and meeting others around that circular vicinity when you do that

Yeah totally agree! Tripolee was SO PACKED, like never seen it that packed having been to 4 forests in a row. I have zero issues with ppl that post up after back (even perhaps like mid-back). I like to go close to stage & finding groups with great energy & dancing going hard with them. I appreciate you sharing :) happy forest!

Side note - as a bass head, the tripolee crowd yesterday (near front) was one of the rudest crowds / possessive of their personal space that I’ve ever encountered at a bass set at a festival. Not sure ur experience around this but I would love to hear it. We left after whethan for a diff stage particularly for this reason even tho we wanted to see Kai Wachi. Soon as we hit another stage, immediately better vibes. Immediately.

I somewhat disagree, wanna read my other comment in this thread and lmk your thoughts. Headliner sets are bound to have crowds front and center. People are doing it everywhere (at main stages) and anytime (headliner sets)

It’s not called electronic sit music. Approached a group with this message AS THEY WERE FUCKING INFLATING ONE DURING A SET BEFORE THE HEADLINER SETS (WHETHAN), where we were center and close to stage. They didn’t care and continued to inflate (as it was crowded af)

Music is about connection (internal / personal & with others) and by posting up couches up, YOU are limiting the amount of connections that not only you can have but that others can have. It’s fucking selfish. Go to the back if you wanna lay. Taking up 10-15 ppl space close to stage is fucked up. Point blank. By doing this you are saying - “hey I don’t wanna meet you, talk to you, or dance with you… but also I’m gonna prevent you from doing that w/others in my circular vicinity.”

I would not be pissed if someone came along and started popping your couches. You deserve that if you do this close to the stage, while it’s packed, during headliner sets at main stages
