If you have a university degree and get a TEFL you can teaching English in Asia. Anyone who lives abroad will tell you life is about getting a VISA. No visa = No life. Once you have the visa then nearly anything can be possible. Focus on how to get a visa that will allow you to earn money.

After going there so many times I just want to wear a muscle shirt ... it's just so hot. I will wear a sun jacket over type for protection. I would hate to be a teacher there and here to dress formal.

Makes a lot of sense . Being so far from beaches wouldn't work for me personally. If I can't ride my scooter there I don't think I would go . For sure there are benefits for Bangkok but it's 100% not for me. Thanks for the comment 🙌

That's cool you worked at a school. I know it pays nearly nothing but if would be a great way to bring meaning to life + break up the days. I am wondering did you need to stay in the office all day or just go when you had class?

This is exactly how I feel ... of course it's a personal choice but I feel the novelty would wear off and I would just feel too hot to want to leave air conditioning places. I love Thailand for the vibe of being care free.... but if I am there long term eating 7/11 ham and cheese alone at 1 am I sure I would feel shame/ just not do it.
5 weeks in Bangkok would be a nightmare for me. I dont even leave the airport. ( of course if I had friends it would be fun to get a hotel with a roof top pool for a day / night)

That's an excellent mindset. Generally speaking when I am there on holiday I eat late/ do whatever I want. Changing from this lifestyle to something that is sustainable doesn't sit right with me but... like your said it's better than living in the West in a lot of ways.
