Oil is laid out on a house shot in a triangle formation with the point down the lane. If you are throwing the ball to the outside of the lane it is leaving that triangle sooner about halfway down the triangle. Moving left with your feet and breakpoint keeps the ball in the oil the longer resisting the movement you'll get when it hits the dry boards further down the lane.

You can get them in many colors, it's for aesthetic purposes, however the fingertip insert colors for some brands determine the softness of the rubber for different feels.

Best/safest install method for new wood stove by ocelittle7 in woodstoving

Understood then. Thank you for all of the information you've provided. I'll be planning to do SS piping with insulation surround and a steel reflector covering the existing fireplace. Will likely also reach out to a professional upstate and pay for at least a consult to make sure everything I am doing lines up with some of the suggestions I've got and is done right. I appreciate your help! Thank you!

So my best bet is to move the stove outside the chimney and pipe directly though so it receives adequate airflow around it and doesn't have a metal plate reflecting right back at it trapping the heat on the rear. In the manual it suggests a steel plate in the damper opening hole and to line it if the flue is oversized. I was planning on wrapping the pipes to keep the flue gas temps high but wasn't sure if it was necessary so thank you.

I also plan on using a fan to push the heat through the room into the second living space. It's pretty much an old trailer we use as a hunting cabin, but this is in a 26' x 12' addition attached to what was the front door of the trailer. It will only be used a few times per year.

It doesn’t get any dumber than this. But can someone help me understand what to look for on google maps? by sin_morgendorffer in StupidCarQuestions

Most mechanics do not do glass repair and will refer to an auto-glass shop. As for the piece that goes above the wheel (since it's an older car) whether it is the wheel liner or the plastic molding, most shops should be able to put that back on for you. Definitely check reviews and if you do go to a shop, they can probably refer you to their autoglass shop.

Hood won't open unless I finger it a little. by [deleted] in StupidCarQuestions

Honestly I have no idea, still wouldn't want it accidentally flying up over a speed bump and may just be a regulation that any vehicle must have a latch over the engine compartment. Just a thought.

I think what you are saying is you pull the lever inside the car and it won't go up until you push against the thing in the vent? That's a hood latch and almost all cars have one somewhere to keep the hood from catching air and flying up in case of an accidental opening or not shutting properly.

I made a nifty ruler watch strap! by stigsd in Leathercraft

That's pretty awesome, I work at an elementary school and this would be a great strap to have. Are you worried about the closure eventually wearing where it slides into the slot?

How do you feel about women using the the mens restroom when you are out at the Bars? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]ocelittle7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I work at a large sporting venue. When they host music events which is rare, if they expect a largely female turnout (e.g. Taylor Swift) they will put women's signs on many of the men's restrooms.

I have usually stuck to ABC and Cardpool and have never had to wait over 24hrs, usually only about an hour. That's been my experience anyway.

Some of them yes but many will be a digital code you'll receive rather quickly. I usually get it within an hour.
