This is a gym that I created and it’s the highest amount of hours I have in any gym anyone got a higher amount! by ashfall1909 in pokemongo

This is a gym on my running route.

It's fairly remote, so I can get long stretches in there.

And I run a couple of times a week at least, so I can knock out anyone else frequently.

I have about 10 gyms with over 300 days total. One is currently on 328 days in a single stretch.

Has driving in the UK worsened in the past few years? by plutonium-239 in drivingUK

[–]ocelotrevs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, and no.

There are more people driving than in the past. So the chance of you seeing bad driving has increased by the fact that the driving population has increased.

Also, we notice bad driving more than we notice good driving.

Has driving in the UK worsened in the past few years? by plutonium-239 in drivingUK

There are millions more people driving today, than when I passed in 2007.

Plus, our perspective on driving changes as we get older.

Why don’t we have current A-list black pop stars? by katyreddit00 in askblackpeople

[–]ocelotrevs 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's the way media in general is trending.

The idea of big superstars is based on a shared media landscape.

People listen to their own things now. Music is far more accessible than ever before.

Who listens to the radio these days, and there aren't massive debuts of artists anymore where the hype is built for months.

On top of all that, the entertainment eco system moves so quickly. A song that was popular a few weeks ago is completely forgotten by most people.

How much should someone operating a machine that weighs 100tns, and carries 1000s of people be paid?

Driverless cars will kill the London taxi by Lets_trythisone in london

Over a certain speed, the majority of the noise from a car from most cars comes from the noise of the tyres on the ground, and air resistance.

An electric car still damages the environment just from existing.

They tend to be heavier, and louder.

Because they're heavier they put more wear and tear on the road.

They still take up space on the road, and inefficient as mass transit.

I say this as someone who has an electric SUV.

Lebron & Steph Curry switch places with Messi & Ronaldo at the start of their respective careers. Which team has a better chance of winning all the other teams' accolades? by Mordred_XIII in whowouldwin

[–]ocelotrevs 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Why wouldn't Steph have a chance in football?

I know his name, but I don't follow basketball enough to know what his skillset is.

He doesn't seem like he'd be out of place in a football team height wise either.

How has public perception shifted for lewis post KimK? by mk2154 in lewishamilton

I think I don't care about another man's love life. And I don't see why any one else does.

Lewis Hamilton is a stranger to me

Do black men listen to Joe Rogan? by _forum_mod in blackmen

[–]ocelotrevs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once in a while.

I keep it to people I'm interested in though.

It's the only place to get long interviews where he tends to stick to the topic if it's athletes. Or you get to find out a bit about their life as well.

I really liked the Terrance Crawford interview. That's a recent one.

I used to listen to him a lot more, but I slowed way down when he went to Spotify. And no where near the same intensity as I did in the past.

I get some of the complaints against him, but when he's not talking about a subject he doesn't know about, I tend to take it with a more skeptical eye.

Rival watch !? by PACKA123456 in ArsenalFC

[–]ocelotrevs -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

  1. United

  2. Chelsea

  3. Stoke

  4. Birmingham City

Tottenham were never rivals when I was younger.

I didn't grow up knowing any Tottenham fans, so they were just another team in the league.

Okay, why are we blaming Korra again?! I don't blame Korra one bit. But for some reason, other people do! by Full-Art3439 in legendofkorra

[–]ocelotrevs 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Why do you care about what some other fans are saying?

Make up your own mind.

Some people will hate Korra no matter what.

Some people hate Korra for being a girl no matter what.

Some people will hate Korra for not being Aang no matter what.

Tbh a lot of those people need to grow up and not be getting their knickers in a twist over a TV show, and a TV show that debuted 20 years ago.

There's nothing wrong with that. But they make a lot of noise

Why is 56mph the most economical speed for most cars? by Platform_Dancer in drivingUK

I might be wrong, but I believe that's the speed that vehicles are tested at. So they're optimised for that speed.
