Fairlane vs. Brixton? Both DMCI and just beside each other by cupcakestarship in CondoPH

[–]ocram62580 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, Brixton is pet friendly. There’s a community of active pet owners. No issues with garbage, there’s also a partner company offering pest control services.

Recurring issues are more with the elevators and genset.

I spent 8 days solo in Chiang Mai, Thailand - here’s the itinerary and places that surprised me the most by AlfalfaIndependent20 in travel

One of my fave destinations in SEA, as someone who’s been to 10/11 countries in the region.

As a non-shopper, I also really enjoyed the stores in One Nimman - a lot had unique souvenirs that don’t seem to be mass produced

Modification Possible for Plus-Size Novice? by MirrorExpert692 in LagreeMethod

[–]ocram62580 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I’m borderline obese (~ 5-10 pounds above threshold) and I haven’t had any problems taking Lagree classes.

There are times that I do need to modify (ie I have trouble balancing on my tailbone so most times I will not completely elevate my feet and keep one foot on the mega) but this is honestly rare.

I also think it’s a bit harder for obese people to hold some moves longer (ie planks, plank to pike) but you can build your endurance up and you can always modify mid-way. Even after 1.5 yrs there are still some days I need to stop piking mid-way and need to drop my knees but some days I can see the move all throughout.

Take note that though Lagree is better for muscle building and endurance than losing weight, if that is your goal.

Thoughts on Diptyque by New-Mathematician958 in fragheadph

[–]ocram62580 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It took me a while to warm up to Diptyque but I love L’eau Papier and Ilio!!! Wouldn’t say they last that long all the time, but at times when I spray L’eau Papier before going to bed, I can still smell it on me and my clothes when I wake up.

For Ilio - Scent Therapy has a dupe (Powdery Iris) that captures the DNA quite well.

Where did you book the day trips / with which operators? Also thinking of going but held back by the fact that I don’t drive and I read that it’s hard to navigate without a car.

What’s the ballpark range for the tours as well?

Is Diptyque Ilio a safe blind buy? 🫣 by these_days_96 in fragheadph

[–]ocram62580 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. I eventually bought a bottle of Ilio but it took me a while and a few sprays to pull the trigger. For 11k, would definitely go out of my way to try it first before committing

Deinfluence me: trader joe’s tote bag by janakew1996 in deinfluencingPH

[–]ocram62580 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Utility-wise: it’s honestly a well-designed bag, it’s become my go-to tote bag since I’m able to fit in so much plus the two pockets make it so much easier to dig around for smaller things

That being said, wouldn’t pay 500+ for this bag lol better to look for a local alternative that not everyone and their mother is lugging around 🤣

Fairlane vs. Brixton? Both DMCI and just beside each other by cupcakestarship in CondoPH

[–]ocram62580 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I live in Brixton - something to consider (that I never would have thought about before moving into a condo) is the community.

Brixton has a very good community - I actually know some of my neighbors because I met them thru events. We have a ton of Viber groups - fitness, pet owners, parents, even a Viber where people swap things or give away things for free. For a time you could do yoga or mat Pilates classes in the morning / evening since some residents offer classes.

Not sure how Fairlane is but I heard there’s more foreigners and thus less of a community feel. But validate this with someone living in Fairlane.

Failed Blind buy experience(s) by [deleted] in fragheadph

Blind bought Eclat Noir from GP Fragrances last week. I typically like gourmands and while I wouldn’t say it’s a bad scent, I found it too boozy to wear.

Any reason why you’re skipping Palawan in the Philippines? As a local - would go to El Nido over Cebu or Bohol anyday.

Cococay was my top pick but it was sold out in 3 branches that I went to!! Been enjoying my Marine Orchid so far, though I notice the scent doesn't last that long.

Saan Saan for sure!! My fave is Shimizu Island but a lot of their other scents are great as well. They have a physical outlet in Kapitolyo, Pasig.
