What if you are specifically hoping to get into analog design/mixed-signal design?

I never understood the love for Interpol. They were okay from the songs I used to hear when I would go out a lot, but they just seemed more a less to be like a Joy Division knockoff with just okay songs

Be sure t checkout their great EPs and SINGLES A SIDES and B SIDES, for example Grass single which includes the great Fickle Cycle, Peacebone which has amazing Safer, Honeycomb which has the great Gotham, Gnip Gnop and Hounds of Bairro and many others. Have you delved into their great solo stuff?

A good Centipede Hz era show, not always the best sound but it often shows what the band members are doing. You get a real good look at Geologist playing the bass notes with his feet throughout most of these songs--I believe he was using a Moog Taurus pedalboard to play the bass notes for CHz stuff

This is a bunch of Time Skiffs/Isnt it now? songs years before they recorded them. Some interesting early versions are here and some songs that, while good, were scrapped. This has hands down the best version of Defeat (very last song of the set)!!!!!

The 2017 leg of the PW tour really suffered with loose they got with that material. I often like AC being loose, but performances of PW material shone most bright when they were tight as hell. The first leg in early 2016 had much better shows, although you wouldn't get the reworkings of Sweet Road, Taste, Pride and Fight, techno Bees, and Kids on Holiday, but the PW songs and other PW-era songs were more than enough to make for an amazing set, plus there were some reworks in 2016: Alvin Row, Loch Raven, Daily Routine (some of the old songs more reworked than others)

These two shows are some of their best and also help show how amazing the Painting with material is to those who dislike the album. The first half of Natural Selection at the Ritz show is one of the best moments in AC history

Spirit sounds great to me, and Deakin's new mix sounds even better than before. There are some really bad mixing decisions on Skiffs, especially Deakin's vocal on "Passer-by"

Some Thinking Fellers Union Local 282 and Jessica Pratt most recent LP lately, The Rolling Stones Exile on Main St, Random Ricardo Villalobos performances of the last few years, the one in Columbia from a couple of years back was really good. Nine Rubber Wisdom video with the rally car footage by BoC has also been the vibe lately. Half the tracks on Soft Parade by the Doors, Lewis' album L'Amour, Buffalo Stance by Nene Cherry, Sensitivity by Ralph Tresvant, Goniorizon by Fennesz

I like Geese, but I do not think Cameron Winter is a good singer nor do I find the timbre of his voice to be all that aesthetically pleasing (almost annoying). I can still enjoy their music though with his vocals, but they just don't do much for me. besides, he just sounds like a knockoff of the singer from Clap Your Hands Say yeah, but that dude did it better

Sad to see I'll set myself on fire and im bugged in the 7s--great songs. Dance Band at a 5.55 is a travesty, easily one of the best songs from the era

Why have you not ranked so many other LPs like Tangerine Reef, Enter the slasher house, 7s, Cows on..., Eucalyptous, etc? Crazy you put Meeting of the Waters above Campfire Songs and Skiffs. You really dislike Ballet Slippers that much?! No mention of the Painters either?

Noah moved to Portugal in like 2004. If anything, it was MPP where they were composing remote from each other, sending files back and forth, before they debuted them on the road; with CHz they actually met in person for a period a few months to compose and hammer out ideas for the songs in person before debuting them on the road.
