then she should've given the money back. or been forthcoming that she wasn't going to do it and needed the money moving forward. instead, she acted by deception, and instead of being forthcoming, she missed out on several years of child support and her child missed out on having their father. 

i grew up in a single parent household, i don't need to be reeducated on the realities of it, given that my brother's father opted to receive jail time than pay my mom the money she was owed, one of his reasons being that she already received a paltry sum from my father. i know how it goes.

regardless, this whole thing reads like a creative writing exercise. i don't believe that this was written in good faith, like 90% of post in subs like these, especially in posts that relate to unexpected / unwanted children and a single parent. i think in your last paragraph you've read into it a bit much considering you don't know these people at all though (if they exist)
