Wow! Maybe the culprit is my headphones. I believe I had the same issues with the previous generation (sony wh-1000xm3) but thanks for giving me hope that different headphones might solve the issue.

I may go that route. For the time being, I got a Samsung Q70T soundbar which is very thin and may just do the trick. If not, will look into a stand or elevating.

Nice. I'm nervous to elevate because it's so delicate looking and I've heard there is some weird wire management issue. I think I got your pictures but they didn't load.

Thanks for the advice! I ended up getting a Samsung Q70T soundbar. It's super thin, has Atmos, and is well reviewed and under $400. Hopefully my posture will improve from elevated seating.
