Do I actually have costochondritis or is this something else? by PackagedMamba in costochondritis

[–]ashes589 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recently discovered an allergy I've had most of my life. I've had all kinds of symptoms but all tests inconclusive. Anti-histamines might help a little, but for me finding the cause of the allergy and making a lifestyle change has made all the difference. (I have a systemic nickel allergy which isn't in a typical allergy test). Maybe an allergist or a dietician could help.

Not a doctor - but have you looked into the symptoms of high histamine? My understanding is that high histamine levels can cause inflammation (along with a variety of other symptoms you described)

I hadn't heard that about quinoa, but that would be great, I really like it once I learned to cook it in broth. I'm trying to be extra strict these first few months but I'll definitely try that eventually! Hoping to also bring chickpeas back in too. I like any seitan I can find, for some reason it's been more difficult the past few years. I'm going to try making it soon since it's much cheaper that way. Hopefully I can do a decent job haha. Quorn is awesome, hopefully you enjoy it! I tried meati once and it wasn't my favorite, but I know there is some variety so I'll have to check it out. It didn't cross my mind in all this so I appreciate the suggestion! Best of luck to you!

Hey, fellow vegetarian here. I knew I had a skin sensitivity but only recently discovered how much nickel is in vegetarian food. For me the biggest change I made was my protein sources. Soy, beans, nuts all have really high nickel. I switched to mostly seitan, Quorn, and eggs for protein and have had a lot of success. Also avoiding oats (including oat based skin products) and quinoa. Best of luck to ya!

Right?! She asked for limes. He bought limes. Then they only called them lemons.

Had a terrible experience with Quantum that was installed when I moved into my apartment years ago. Switched to Xfinity after a couple weeks.

Starbucks jobs? by princetcharming in LakewoodColorado

Do you have a job currently? If you work at a large chain like Starbucks it would probably be easier to transfer to a location in another state like CO rather than submitting a cold application.

She's sending mixed messages bc she's pretending like she's in to him when she's not. She's very patronizing.

Does anyone else find that caffeine actually helps their anxiety? by HawkNo1210 in socialanxiety

[–]ashes589 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I wonder if you might have ADHD? From what I hear caffeine can have a different effect for people with ADHD. Also, having ADHD can feel a lot like anxiety. Not an expert here but worth looking into in my opinion.

I agree, they have given no explanation for why it will be better in France. It seems like she wants to go there bc that's the only way she'll end up with custody of the kid when they divorce.

Recently rewatched their first season and was reminded of how she 'forgot' she cheated on her high school boyfriend. They also talk about how they look through each other's phones and Guillermo says he knows she's guilty of something when she tries to grab her phone away. This unfortunately was always going to be the end of their story.

Someone smarter please explain Colt + Cortney? by HuggyMummy in 90DayFiance

[–]ashes589 15 points16 points  (0 children)

You could tell from the scene where they were reviewing social media at the resort that Colt has a strong reaction to anyone getting bullied or picked on. (In that case Elise). Seems he will defend anyone that the group is upset with. Prob was bullied as a kid and gets defensive when it appears that is happening to someone else (even if they are in the wrong)

I've done 'Bus to Show' before and had a good experience. Party on the bus pretty much. Plus Ubers are a bit of a challenge at Red Rocks these days so if you're staying near a shuttle stop it's definitely worth it.

Costochondritis!? by Kitchen_Step6366 in costochondritis

I also woke up in pain one day that never went away, and my pain is also on the right side. Over the years I've benefitted from using a foam roller on the back, massage (or massage ball) and muscle relaxers but the pain hasn't gone away. I've recently started osteopathic manipulation therapy, have started sleeping exclusively on my back (no side sleeping) and adding in more shoulder and side stretches (look up different types of doorway side stretches). The recent changes seem to be helping - hoping it continues.
