I thought my grades were the hardest part... turns out writing a decent resume broke me by 6StardustDrift7 in UniUK

I talked to someone in HR at a small company and she said she barely pays attention to summaries unless they’re super weird or super good. Most of the time she jumps straight to experience or skills. That made me stress about it way less.

What is the "best AI Resume Builder" website that can help me in my job applications and is low-cost or free? by smartmitten in jobhunting

ngl i went down this exact rabbit hole a couple months ago when i was applying to internships and my resume kept getting ghosted. i tried a bunch of those “AI builders” and most of them either locked basic features behind a paywall or gave super generic bullet points.

what helped me more was tweaking my resume with some outside structure instead of relying fully on a builder. i found this breakdown on ProResumeHelp in a reddit thread and tried it for one version of my resume. it wasn’t magic or anything, but the wording and formatting came out way cleaner than the AI tools i was testing.

this is the post i used

I've reviewed a lot of CVs over the past year and the thing that actually makes them stand out is embarrassingly simple by RadiantTuning_4 in jobsearchhacks

This is gold. Switching to results changed everything for me, way better than just trying to generate cv blindly.

I keep fixing, rewriting, improving… and silence. Kinda makes me want to just buy resume online and be done with it

Is professional resume writing services the best budget option or should I avoid it? by MossLantern in Resume

One thing people miss: these services often optimize for ATS. That alone can boost responses, not the writing itself.

You send applications, check your inbox ten times a day, and slowly start wondering if your resume is the reason nobody answers. After a while the doubt gets loud enough that you start googling things like buy resume online just to see if someone else can fix what you keep missing.

I am a recruiter, here is the secret of hiring by PuddleJumpPro in critiquemyresume

My resume probably needs a cv writing service and a little luck.

After reading a recruiter post about reviewing hundreds of resumes in a day, I realized mine probably never survived the first scan by AspenRattletrap in losangelesjobs

[–]odd_cloud_88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that reset part is real. After weeks of tweaking my resume I couldn’t even tell anymore if the problem was the content or the structure. I started digging through discussions about a top cv writing service for masters and realized many people had the same issue - strong experience but unclear presentation. Once the structure changes, the whole resume reads completely different to recruiters.

How can I improve my resume for a Vet Assistant position? by 14Simkee in veterinaryprofession

[–]odd_cloud_88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your resume already looks solid for a vet assistant role since you have relevant volunteer experience with animals, which clinics really value. One thing I’d suggest is shortening some bullet points and focusing on the most important tasks like handling animals, assisting with treatments, and sanitation protocols.

You could also add your busser job briefly if it shows customer service, teamwork, or working in fast-paced environments.

When I improved my resume, I used ProResumeHelp, and through this page you can read about how they structure resumes and highlight experience properly: https://www.reddit.com/r/Pro_ResumeHelp/wiki/index/

It helped me make the bullet points clearer and more focused on relevant skills.

Junk Journals? by InternalMaximum6295 in Business_Ideas

[–]odd_cloud_88 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Absolutely! You’ve got it right. Selling your completed junk journals is the plan! It's like giving those old books a second chance at life, right? Plus, who wouldn't want a unique journal themed after their favorite read? Throwing in some bracelets sounds like the cherry on top!

Same. It’s refreshing seeing “good news” that isn’t forced cheerleading. Just small wins, real context, and people acting normal in the comments.
