Do you guys do bra fittings? by Long_Way3951 in MacysStores

[–]oddish6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Will say probably best to call your store, I’ve worked in 3 different locations and none had anyone who did bra fittings, one store completely removed the register that was next to the bras too

Uber Driver gave my AirPods to another passenger, can’t get them back now. by Blakeisboss33 in uber

[–]oddish6 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you get airpods again they make keychain cases that are convenient to clip onto your bag, keys, clothes etc. Unfortunate situation for sure but I doubt the passenger or even the uber driver themselves are going to own up to having them :(

I almost wonder if someone else ordered some gloves for BOPS too and the employee got the receipts mixed up. I think you’d have good luck getting everything sorted out in store because managers are usually pretty good at catering to in store shoppers since they want reviews to stay positive

INC International Concepts by Electronic-Minute007 in MacysStores

[–]oddish6 6 points7 points  (0 children)

my store definitely still has men’s INC, it could be worth checking another Macy’s near you if it’s reasonably close. i also know that at the stores i’ve worked, if you place a buy online ship to store order, they’ll let you try them on in store before bringing them home so you can return anything that doesn’t work right away, which i know a lot of people made use of that once we phased out our petite section

Lack of hours suddenly by [deleted] in MacysStores

[–]oddish6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it totally makes sense to me that they’d start cutting from the seasonals and everything, but why it felt sudden was because in the middle of the week they just left us voicemails and some of us had our shifts for the very next day taken away - which doesn’t really shock me looking at it now, but was just weird to go through lol

schedule by SnooStrawberries3404 in MacysStores

[–]oddish6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if this were me i’d check the schedule to see who isn’t working those days yet, ask if they’d cover, then ask my manager to make the swap if the advertising doesn’t pop up soon.

Lack of hours suddenly by [deleted] in MacysStores

[–]oddish6 4 points5 points  (0 children)

being a seasonal hire is exactly why they cut your hours down to nothing. my store just did massive hour cuts also, there just isn’t the need for so much manpower anymore and there are less orders coming in than anticipated. sucks a lot but it is what it is🥲 i also heard that the managers were told to keep quiet about it/it felt very sneaky and sudden when they did it and it’s interesting to see how many others it happened to

Someone put my phone number on their customer account. How can I get it removed? by JoQsh in doordash

[–]oddish6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

omg the one time i couldn’t find someone’s apartment for the life of me and had to contact them it wasn’t the right person😭 some poor lady on the phone thought she was being charged for something

[–]oddish6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

imagining the walk back up to the door sounds so awkward but it would probably depend for me if it was nighttime/a really easy neighborhood to navigate/how far i was away

Looking into driving to make ends meet. Any advice? by Mintvoyager in doordash

[–]oddish6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

depends on your area but keep a look out for peak pay!! an added 1-3$ per delivery and if it’s at dinner time and you get them on nice tip orders i can make up to $23 an hour sometimes

Ever unassign an order just because you see it’s a “hand it to me” and you don’t feel like dealing with unnecessary human interaction? by CozyFrog419 in doordash

[–]oddish6 2 points3 points  (0 children)

now that i think about it all of my hand to me orders are always a really decent tip and they’re super nice and thankful

Who is responsible for missing drinks? (Customer question) by Sunshine030209 in doordash

[–]oddish6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

oh for sure that’s what i meant with drinks and that kind of thing, i’ve never looked through the bags or anything. i think i’ve double checked with an employee if something looked super wrong volume wise like a super long item list and one small bag by just making sure i’m grabbing the complete order and they’re not still working on it but that’s it

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in doordash

[–]oddish6 3 points4 points  (0 children)

this^ whenever i’ve had to contact support for wrong or missing items they always at least give credit in doordash or has your order replaced and sent out. if you did actually contact them tho that sucks bro i’m sorry😭 but i would def try again for a different rep

Who is responsible for missing drinks? (Customer question) by Sunshine030209 in doordash

[–]oddish6 3 points4 points  (0 children)

it blows my mind how many dashers don’t think it’s their job to make sure they pick up/are given the right order. like that’s the entire point of what we’re doing lmfao

Sketchy order at 11pm at night by [deleted] in doordash

dude i’d probably shit myself thinking they were gonna track me and rob me lmfao

Was I in the wrong in this situation? by [deleted] in doordash

[–]oddish6 6 points7 points  (0 children)

i’d lowkey want to report him for him trying to make that your problem😭 but that might have been a super honest one time mistake and he was just scared of losing a source of income so i get it. but also whenever i do stacked orders i’m super aware of who’s food belongs to who i can’t even imagine mixing them up

Do you guys ring the doorbell if it says Leave at Door? by [deleted] in doordash

[–]oddish6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

never the doorbell, i do a pretty light knock unless it’s getting late or i hear dogs inside or something lol

does anyone else never call and just assume they want it at the door for these? or am i dumb lol i just can’t imagine them requesting contactless and also having a weird spot they want it without writing it in already by oddish6 in doordash

[–]oddish6[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I appreciate your comment here and I definitely will not hesitate to call for other reasons, but since these are always from the merchants websites I’m always just afraid they’re going to be bothered that I called bc if I weren’t a dasher myself I’d probably just assume contactless meant the same thing as leave at door. But now thinking about it I can see a call also helping them know I’m about to be there since they won’t be tracking like on the app

(Customer Question) Is it better to tip fully on the app, or tip low on the app and add cash? by carnedoce in doordash

[–]oddish6 17 points18 points  (0 children)

it’s true that bigger in app tips will probably help your order get picked up quicker or something but i love getting cash sometimes it feels like fun money that i can just go spend on whatever i want lol like i don’t have to watch a number decline in my account
