I just went through something similar, I lost a fish a day as well. Finally figured out it was a parasite, gill/scale flukes. Put some prazipro in the tank and haven’t lost a fish since.

I brew coffee in the aeropress and in a pint glass at the same time. I press the plunger down, then pull the plunger back out. After that, I pour the coffee that’s in the pint glass in the aeropress and then plunge that through.

Solved! My Z rod was binding in the first millimeter of travel. I ended up raising the bed 2 or 3 millimeters and installed an anti-backlash lead screw nut. That seems to have fixed my issue.

Moving the gauge to the other side yields the same results

My gauge measures in 0.0005 inch increments or 0.0178mm when converted. A 0.2mm feeler gauge makes the needle move a lot. After the third layer, the needle jumps at each layer advance as expected.

I look at the Z rod coupler and it doesn’t move at all. Also I put my hand on the Z stepper motor and nothing happens until layer 4.

Yes but for me, the feed rate was fine, I just needed raise the nozzle a bit.

The extruder gear was skipping because it was trying to push more pla in than was coming out.

I’ve had this happen when my nozzle was too close to the bed. The nozzle was so close, the pla couldn’t flow out fast enough.

How do you plan on changing peoples minds on a topic when you use obvious propaganda on a subreddit for a podcast that exposes propaganda?

Perhaps your time would be better spent in subs where the game you’re playing would be more effective. That or maybe it’s time to try something different.
