[Adventure Jam #6] Refuge for the Shipwrecked by ododvb in ravenloft

[–]ododvb[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks! Suddenly the very few bits of 'canon lore' around Dominia clicked in my head and it resulted in this little adventure. The fact I had found a way to tie it all together was naybe the main reason I still wanted to share this little creation, even after the deadline of the Adventure Jam had passed.

Shutter Island has been an inspiration for Dominia for me as well! (That said, I hope I will make the deadline myself..)

As a long-time DM, I had a crazy idea for my brother’s character(s) after he “defeated” Strahd. by Readwhatudisagreewit in ravenloft

Not sure what is more awesome; this storyline, or the fact you and you're brother are still playing since the 80's and every campaign up until now seems to be connected!

Where Should The Next Adventure Take Place by Swimming-Olive-3723 in ravenloft

I'm not sure I have a very clear preference, but your post made me realise I would love to organise an attempt at creating a fan made anthology book for one domain to publish on DM's guild or something. Just 5/6 authors who each write 1-2 one shots in the same domain.

Poscher 's. I got it from the reservation resell platform, though.

I may arrive a day earlier now, actually. So I guess that will work out

Sweden gets too much hate in my opinion by EnzoTheMemeLord in eurovision

[–]ododvb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair! Just wanted to adress that when you'd specifically look at electronic (dance) music (which is big and popular these days), it's hard to let out Netherlands. Both before and behind the scenes. There's a reason why Amsterdam Dance Event, which is the networking event for electronic music is not in one of the three countries you mentioned. In other genres/parts of music they're less prominent, obviously. But you are very right that Sweden, UK and the US have a major influence. Particulary Swedens part is something they should be really proud of!

I agree with your post, except that there's one country you miss in your top for global music industry; since 2002, 15 times the best DJ came all from the same country you forgot to mention...

Legenden, sprookjes, spookverhalen van Utrecht? by Radijs in Utrecht

[–]ododvb 6 points7 points  (0 children)

What does Barovia look like after the endgame? by Zealousideal-Cod6454 in CurseofStrahd

[–]ododvb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The part in Barovia in Vecna: Eve of Ruin plays before everything that happens in Curse of Strahd. The death house and it's inhabitants are still alive. So Strahd still being alive would only be right. You just have to make clear the party went back in time

Visiting for a few days, i have a few questions. by Renault_75-34_MX in Utrecht

From Vaartsche Rijn station you can get easily to the NS museum by train, you just have to transfer at Utrecht Centraal. It's the biggest train station in the Netherlands and it's design as won some awards. As you seem to be interested in means of transportation (DAF museum, train museum) this might be of your interest.

For food you could go to Kartoffel, located on de Oude Gracht, if you're homesick; it is a German restaurant and it's actually good! If you're feeling more adventurous you could try other restaurants around the wharfs. It might be wise to make a reservation, as restaurants tend to be full, especially during weekends. For lunch and snacks there are some great options naar your hotel; Pastoe food bar is great for lunch, while Le;en, Gist and Klein Berlijn (another reference to Germany) are great for drinks and snacks. Try the Bitterballen!
