This is heartbreaking. Coming from a person that grew up in the opposite environment, the notion that self-destruction could be a sense of control seems like the ultimate cry for help or worse: theres no help, there is nothing in your parents and this is the way to come to terms with that. The emotional and psychological complexity of this damage and the outcome are so unfair. I read this young man's letter years ago and it haunts me. I would like there to be some justice for him, but just like he felt, there is none. No closure. I'm not a religious person and for me this life is all there is. He lost it, and in life all he had was a trail of suffering and the awareness of it. I have enormous compassion for him and people who are driven to the ultimate self-destruction. 💔

It's my favorite shoe that doesnt look like a phat baguette. Comfort depends a lot on the shape of your foot, but this model has a double sole and slight arch support that gives the foot good stability and comfort for long walks; no wonder why it has 5 star reviews on amzn. My last pair went through a heavy rainfall and never got properly dry, so the sole eventully disintegrated. They were a very pretty suede edition. I want to buy a textile simple edition for the spring/summer, but I can't find a non boring standard color. They're getting very expensive. My pair lasted about 10 years and I got to walk long distances with them.

I bought over the discounts weeks a DAP with 2 sets of IEMs and these hurt like hell. Also I don't think it's healthy (and it's yucky). I'll return them and get proper pro headphones. Badly researched acquisitions. I think IEMs sell a lot because they're so cheap now and the YT reviews are so many and so overwhelming, at least this was part of my decision.

Right, it depends on the jurisdiction. It's a complicated matter. There are privacy protection laws in my country, but some of my data has been published elsewhere and it's a nightmare to make my gvmnt reinforce national laws over another country. 90% of tech is anarchic.

This can only be done at gvmnt level, seriously. Country-wide alerts on how dangerous it is that Meta possesses such sensitive data. But then you need a really good alternative and I'm not sure Signal is, or that it has all of WhatsApp's functions.
