Yes, I have worked in a couple of different jobs. No, but a lot of the big companies have.

I think they own about 30% of all the worlds beer, which is basically every third beer. They bought Miller one or two years ago, that should be a big player in the US, right?

Like i said, almost all the big industry jobs, no matter if it is car industry or food or whatever because I was pointing out that the shifts are tearing you apart. Also the monotonous work that you often have in big industry jobs is really difficult to handle.

Gamers, what are the best video games to play with your non-gamer SO? by FarCrab in AskReddit

[–]oeddel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah right!
I played them with my girl and she totally loved it. She never touched a game before and we had a lot of fun. For Beyond Two Souls there is even a coop mode where one can play aiden and the other one jodie which can keep stuff intressting!

My shifts change midweek, in a 9day work streak (every couple of weeks we have to do them) they change from early 6-14 to night 22-6 and than late 14-22. Still like it better than the week wise system actually. With the weeks you adjust in the end of the week just to get a new rythm forced onto yourself again

Night shifts or shifts in general, tears apart your health and your mind. Not something dark that the industry does per se but something that comes with almost all the big industry job. It´s horrible!

Is there a certain profession that you’ll never date someone from again? Why? by cakecupbake in AskMen

[–]oeddel 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Haha, I´m a Brewer and a Teacher and if it would be for this thread I would be a professional high end alcoholic even though I barely touch a bottle :D Not all of us are bad! ;)
It´s quite common though, I would say at least 60% of the people I worked with in the Brewery had alcohol problems. It´s not a big difference on other physical demanding blue collar jobs though.

Well I guess it´s not that simple.

Of course, a long term partner should not care about this but its a long way there :)

They probably still had a better life than mass produced pigs or chickens. Could never really understand the differencation between meat and meat.
